PTFE tube fitting on extruder not disengaging
Hi,
does anyone have any recommendations how to replace the fitting on the top of the Nextruder with something that makes it easier to remove the ptfe tube. For me it is close to impossible to get the ptfe tube out of the fitting. And I am getting extremely frustrated when I have something stuck in the extruder. (due to MMU issues causing clogs). I have other fittings on the MMU and I can fairly easy release the tube from it, but they dont fit on the nextruder.
RE: PTFE tube fitting on extruder not disengaging
Hi Vendolis,
In my experience the metal grips inside the collet on the fitting at the top of the extruderr
tend to chew a groove in the PTFE tube, Making removal difficult
I use these
They are longer than the original fittings so you need to shorten the PTFE tube, or adjust the expected tube length in the software,
I have shortened the length of my tube... the other issue is that the rotary fitting collides with the MMU on tall prints...
I plan on moving my MMU Backwards on new brackets, so that the fittings do not collide!
