Prusa core one input port overcurrent error
Hi, I have just started getting this error message on my Core One, Prusa core one input port overcurrent error, it happened when I started a print with PC filament. I have printed quite a few things with this filament and it has always printed successfully until this one. Having googled it all I can get is some long winded cure that entails taking half the machine to pieces which I don't want to do as I am confident that there is nothing wrong with it. After a few restarts where I got the same message it restarted without the error message. I decided to tell it to preheat using PLA settings and it did, so I asked it to preheat to the PC filament temperature, which it did. I then started the print that I was going to print when I got the error message and it is now happily printing away no problem.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I would love to find our why it happened as the error message tells me to turn off the machine and contact Prusa.

RE: Prusa core one input port overcurrent error
Hi, Just an update, I just turned the Core One on and I got an error message but it wasn't the one I was hoping for, I have attached it as a file. I just restarted the printer and it started ok, I am now on my third print using PC filament and even though I turned the printer off and on again after each print I cannot get it to replicate the original error message and I'm afraid I didn't think to take a picture of it. I, like Jurgen could only find the error messages that he did but my error message definitely said "Prusa core one input port overcurrent error". I will keep trying to replicate the error message and I will come back when I do, Cheers, Bob
RE: Prusa core one input port overcurrent error
Hi, I finally got the input port error again, picture attached, it happened when I tried to pre-heat the printer for PC filament. I turned it off, restarted and asked it to preheat for PLA which it did. I then asked it to do the same for PC filament and that was ok too. The printer is now printing with PC filament.
I googled again the input port overcurrent error and this time I got a result. This is what it says, Prusa core one input port overcurrent error Prusa Core One input port overcurrent error can occur during a print with certain filaments, such as PC filament. This error message indicates an overcurrent condition at the input port, which can be caused by a damaged cable or connection. To resolve this issue, it is recommended to not disassemble the printer and instead try preheating the bed using PLA settings. If the error persists, it may be necessary to contact Prusa's technical support for further assistance. RE: Prusa core one input port overcurrent error
That Bing link directs me back to the present thread. Is it my browser or did you maybe paste the wrong link by accident?
RE: Prusa core one input port overcurrent error
I'm not sure what happened there but I pasted the contents of the whole of the item in my previous post. As you can see from the picture that it says Input Port Overcurrent Error. I see that there is a barcode to Prusa in the error message but I haven't scanned it. I will do that next time I get the error and see what Prusa says.
RE: Prusa core one input port overcurrent error
I scanned the QR code from your photo. As expected it links to the same address that is also spelled out in the lower left -- error code 31309, which is the heatbed overcurrent error. So that's not too helpful I'm afraid.
Did that Bing result you quoted come from an actual web page, or is it an AI summary provided by Bing directly? If it's the latter, I would assume it is just a mashup of multiple "similar" finds, and not actually meaningful.
Now that you have the screenshot, I'd suggest contacting Prusa support about the issue. Hopefully they can provide relevant information and troubleshooting guidance.
RE: Prusa core one input port overcurrent error
Thanks for that, yes I'm going to contact Prusa when I get the time, I just wondered if anyone else had had the same error message because it doesn't appear to be a genuine fault as I am able to get rid of it and the printer carries on for days without a problem, I am just going to wait and see if anyone else can give me any thoughts on it.
