Alternatively, instead of mounting or unmounting the fan the top lid could be easily left without the plastic ribbons and be removed or left ajar, allowing for the heat to escape.

My printer also seems to stop the filtration fan as soon as the print ends with PETG. I guess the firmware decides depending on what the stated loaded filament on the printer is. It would be nice to be able to overide this, maybe through GCODE, as I am quite sensitive to filament smell including PLA and PETG.

Although it did not make much difference to my chamber temperatures, I realized that the Chamber fan limit setting on the printer also controls the max fan setting for the filtration fan. This makes sense considering it has taken over cooling duties, but this was not immediately obvious to me so it was not set to 100% leading to even higher chamber temperatures. It is worth setting what percentage this is set to.
