RE: MMU Nextruder mod tension screws

Was it unloaded manually by UI or while printing?

Which GCode was used for that? was the unload initiated by Tn command or was M702 to unload? because the behavior when unloading with Tn command is not good. With Tn command the filament sensor is deactivated while unload. The MMU tries forcly to unload but the extruder doesn´t move after the first try failed. I that case such grinding could happen if the extruder wheel blocks the filament from unload...

It happes during an MMU print.

I hear rattling of the filament tip against extruder gear for 1-2 seconds before the MMU picks up.

So the filament sensor on the extruder is not switching in time, or the unload cycle is too long.

Anyway it got better when i changed the tension of the tensioner screws.

RE:

I also had the problem of the filament getting stuck in the Nextruder.

In another thread, someone suggested lowering the nozzle temperature.

https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/prusa-core-one-hardware-firmware-and-software-help/core-one-mmu3-filament-unloading-getting-stuck/

The cause mentioned there was that too much filament (up to the heatbreak) was being melted, which led to the filament tip folding over during filament unload.

I followed the advice and, knock on wood, haven't had any more problems changing filament.
