Filtration and Chamber Fan Operation

Hello,

I received my Core One yesterday, and so far everything is working great.

However, I am a bit confused regarding the chamber filtration.

I have installed the Advanced Filtration System, and configured it in the printer settings.

When I enable "Filter All Materials", the blower fan turns on. But the chamber fans don't seem to do so, although I can enable them separately in the settings.

I don't quite understand the logic, after all both fan systems are on the same airway, once infront of the filter, and once behind.

What am I missing?

Why does the printer not use the fans to cool the chamber for PLA instead of the opening at the top?

Especially as I want to filter PLA as well, as I share a living room in a cold countrywith this machine.

Once you install the advanced filtration kit, then the chamber fans are no longer needed. The filtration system has it's own blower which pulls air from the chamber. The fans are still there to hold on to the chamber thermistor that you see in the center.

As @hyiger said. It's all a bit clunky, with two fans no longer being used. But I guess the Advanced Filtration Unit (like the camera) was an afterthought, an embarrasment for a printer at that price point.

Yeah, it's a bit weird and confuses a lot of people. It would have been easier for Prusa to add instructions to remove the chamber fans and provide a bracket to hold the thermistor in place.
