Ejecting during filament loading
So, I've serviced my Core One this weekend, added the Core One Plus addons, removing the filtration unit due to heat creep problems. Firmware updated to latest 6.4.0. So far so good.
Now, when loading filament, the process works as expected, the sensor on the Nextruder side senses the filament. Changes the text, I press continue...
.. but when I continue, the printer wan'ts to eject. What's going on here?
If I bypass the wizard and simply move the E-dimension, everything works perfectly, I'ts just loading and unloading that seems off. As mentioned, the sensor seems to sense both when the filament is loaded and when it's unloaded.
The filament sensor passes calibration.
Tips would be greatly appreciated!

Right, or maybe the side sensor produces an intermittent signal? It seems likely that it is the root cause, since it is the only part in the filament path that got modified during the Core One + upgrade.

Wondering if the side filament sensor is getting stuck closed. Try disabling the sensor as a test.

Something about this new design is slightly off. On occasion I'm finding the tip of the filament is not lining up with the Bowden tube on the other side of the steel bearing and I have to twist slightly to insert it. I definitely don't see the point at all of this switch as well. The mod that moved the opposing magnet further away worked better.
The only reason I replaced it, is because I'm a completionist.

In the photographs provided the side filament sensor is showing "off" which means that the printer thinks the filament has run out and is prompting you to change the spool. You will need to troubleshoot why the side sensor is not detecting the presence of the filament.

RE: Ejecting during filament loading
Happened to me too two days ago. I found in internet that this happens if the side filament sensor is empty (no filament) and you try to load the filament, then it eject instead purge (don't ask me why...). In my case I didn't have a filament loaded but I wanted to do a cold pull.
RE: Ejecting during filament loading
I had the same thing happened to me! It was because I was doing a cold pull with no filament in the side sensor.
I was loading directly from the top of the head by removing the tubing.
I didnt know that side sensor was needed for cold pulls or loading in general.
RE: Ejecting during filament loading
This one just bit me too. Was trying to do a cold pull and had completely rolled up the spool while I was inserting directly into the top of the extruder. Thought I was losing my mind.
Solution was to just insert the filament into the side sensor and continue about my business.
RE: Ejecting during filament loading
Can't you see that the sensor on the Nextruder is not working? Even if the filament is gone, the sensor reports ON as if the filament was inserted. Fix this problem so that the sensor on the Nextruder reports OFF when the filament path in the Nextruder is empty. Of course, when inserting filament in this situation, it causes the printer to try to get rid of that state and try to eject the supposed filament first!

Which of the multiple follow-up posters are you referring to? It seems that the original poster (who also provided the photos) has resolved his problem in December, since he marked a "best answer" and has not been back. We don't have any photos from @floh, @averi and @rwiggum, so I don't think a remote diagnosis of their issues is that clear-cut.
RE: Ejecting during filament loading
But nowhere is it written that he accidentally failed to remove the defect from which the photos come when manipulating the side filament sensor. And if he succeeded, then that's only good.

The new function of the orange part is completely different than you think. When you pull the orange part all the way towards each other, a completely different function occurs. Both magnets stop repelling and start attracting each other, which completely opens the channel for inserting the soft filament. And if you pushed the filament through the sensor and you see it in the bowden behind the sensor, return the orange part to its original position as with a regular hard filament. And don't worry, the force acting on the ball is so small that it cannot bend the filament in the ball channel so that the sensor reports that the filament is not present. And if you don't do this, nothing terrible will happen, you will only lose the ability to report the end of the filament
