Core One Z-axis whine

Hi,

I am new to 3D printing and this is my first printer.

At around print 20 or so (only small test models so far) the printer started to whine when moving the Z-axis before and after the print. (whine cannot be heard during printing or when using the manual movement of the Z-axis)

I am now at print 50 and the whining is getting louder and louder.

Do I need to perform some maintenance already? =/

btw: The printer is now showing 20h30mins of printing time.

Any help on this is very much appreciated!

Thanks and BR, Armin

Two more annoying things that might find answers here =)

Prusa Connect fails to move the print files to the printer, like, every 5-7 prints... Also: the printer is often "offline" and has "error" + "connection refused" in the network screen...

Try greasing the lead screws with the supplied lubricant.

Hi Brian,

thanks - that fixed the whining.

From what I can tell, there was absolutely zero lube on these threads (ie being shipped that way...)
