Core One+ forgets home after every print
The issue appeared recently. After each print, the extruder moves to the back right corner. After that, when I start a new print or press "Auto home", it does homing in that corner, banging against the invisible wall. I have to physically move the extruder up front so it homes in a proper place.
Idk if it plays any role, but recently I've shortened the Bowden tube ca. 2 cm due to damage that occurred from frequent side sensor jam repairs.
Gcode-wise, I've also added a short wiping sequence for the nozzle wiper that executes only at the start of the print.
Firmware: 6.4.0
Assembled as a kit.
Core One+ extruder has found a new home
RE: Core One+ forgets home after every print
I'm curious about the side sensor jams and how and why you are getting them? Is the lever hook getting stuck?
As for your problems with homing, you may have introduced a bug in your start g-code. Please paste it here and I'll have a look.
Start though by rerunning the X and Y axis calibration.
RE: Core One+ forgets home after every print
Hi, hyiger
Thanks for suggestions! I tried calibrating Y and it failed. Then I started moving the carriage by hand and at one point it was passing extra hard (see photo) - it was grabbing the cable of the damn filament sensor I am not even using anymore! So I straightened it out, and the homing works now!
RE: Core One+ forgets home after every print
As for the filament sensor issues, I have added a reply in a different thread https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/postid/779670/
RE: Core One+ forgets home after every print
That happened to me when after replacing the PTFE tube I routed it behind the sensor cable instead of in front.
