Core One crash/restart
I've been having a strange issue with my Core One in that after a print, sometimes the printer would just turn itself off and restart. Was only after the completion of the print. Bugged me for the last couple of weeks but tonight I finally determined the trigger (if not the root cause).
I've been careful to remove the print sheet and let it cool before attempting to remove the item from the sheet. So what I do is place the print sheet on top of my circular bin for a few minutes until I can remove the part. Then I stand up and walk back to the printer and replace it on the heated bed again. This all sounds pretty normal I can hear you all think - except every time I get off my chair and go to the printer I get a small static electric shock when I touch the case (the fault is my chair and shoes, not the Core One). But, when I'm carrying the print plate back to the printer, the door is already open - so I'm discharging myself through the plate into the heated bed. At this point, the printer resets. The printer doesn't reset when discharging through the chassis.
So is the heated bed not correctly earthed?
RE: Core One crash/restart
ahhh this same thing happened to me today... door was open and it rebooted when I touched the plate to the bed. My guess is static after reading your post..
RE: Core One crash/restart
Been having the same issue, happened to me twice on my core one. First time was touching the build plate, second time was inserting the USB drive into the screen. Both times the machine went dark and rebooted
RE: Core One crash/restart
My Core One just shuts off mid-print, beeps 8 times, and restarts. I have no idea where to start looking for the cause of the error.
RE: Core One crash/restart
I have had this happen a few times, MOSTLY in between prints. I do have the door sensor turned off, so it isn't that. Perhaps a memory leak of some kind?
Regardless, I am frustrated that there isn't any active work going on in the firmware for the Core ONE right now.
RE: Core One crash/restart
There is active work on firmware 6.3.1. Some discussions in the VFA thread, where people are monitoring changes in Github. No released version yet, but a tag has been defined for 6.3.1 and various changes assigned to it.
RE:
I have compiled the latest FW 6.3.1 for MK4 and there are interesting things for this printer too. What kind, I won't talk about that for now.
RE: Core One crash/restart
If you didn't found it yet => https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-Buddy/releases/tag/v6.3.1
RE:
If you wiggle the door triggering the door switch, it can cause a reboot. I have disabled the door switch in the menu for now.

@cyrusjk has disabled it as well, as stated in his post.
RE: Core One crash/restart
I have the door sensor Disabled as well, I beeps 8 times, but i cant find what it means
RE:
The same thing is happening to me. Door switch is disabled, firmware 6.3.1
RE: Core One crash/restart
I updated my Core One to firmware 6.3.2 tonight and started a new print job. It's still doing the same thing. 8 beeps, reboots, picks up where it left off.
RE: Core One crash/restart
Just happened to me. Any updates on this?
RE: Core One crash/restart
Had many sessions with support, had also replaced the power panic to a new one which they provided, printer keeps doing reboots quite frequently on speed sliced prints. I suspected that issue might be in connector(s) on xBuddy, support contacted the dev team and promised to get back to me
RE: Core One crash/restart
After many Sessions with Support, i shipped my Core one back to Prusa for repair. They tought it was a faulty wiring of a error in motherboard.
if i moved de printed head myself (by pulling top belt) it shut itself of also.
As soon as i get feedback from repair service i wil post it here
RE: Core One crash/restart
I had the printer cut out on me once and am slightly embarrassed to say that it was due to the mains plug not being fully inserted into the power supply... Using the original power cable supplied by Prusa, it's not a great mechanical fit and requires a bit of force to push (or wiggle) in.
In my case the printer did not reboot on its own but remained off until I had found the issue. But it's conceivable that vibrations during fast printing might cause a short brownout, rebooting the printer. Worth checking if the plug is properly seated!

BTW, Mine beeps 10 times, so it's cooler than 8 times I guess

had a bit more chats with support, got conclusions that the issue must be in PSU, they are sending a new one
