Auto home
Core One 6.3.4 +10511
From control menu select Auto Home. Printer goes to repeated hitting Right hand end and Front, BUT never stops, just continues to carry out the sequence of hitting the frame.
When a print starts, and it Auto Homes, all goes well.
Any ideas
RE: Auto home
you may want to try the 6.4.0RC version of the FW. Homing has been revised in that code. Even if it not a production version and has some quirks, me (and a lot of others in this forum) have been running it for a while and printing happily.
RE: Auto home
I have left FW at 6.3.4 for the moment. I re-tensioned the belts and things got better. Everything seems to be good, except i just loaded some PETG filament, and during the sequence it goes to "Parking head" and goes theough the head benging sequence. This time it continued for about 1 minute then a red Screen appeared advising of failed to calibrate home position, and this could cause layer shifting, and was accompanied by a constant Beep.
I rebooted the machine and succesfully loaded the filament.
Is this behavour all part of the belt tensioning not being correct (if got it as close as possible ) or is it something else ? and will 6.4.0 RC help. And while im at this point, if i do upgrade to 6.4.0. and find i have issues, is it possible to downgrade to 6.3.4 and just to be even more difficult will the FW from the Prusa site be the +10511 my machine shipped with ?

Rerun the Y axis calibration. I suspect your gantry is bent. If it is, completely loosen the belts, bend it so it’s square with the frame and retention the belts turning left and right screws the same amount.
RE: Auto home
The belt tension isn't critical. Having the gantry be square is.
If you ignore @hyiger saying "turning left and right screws the same amount" then you'll end up skewing the gantry, resulting in head banging.
I've learned that trying to get to the exact 92/98 Hz is a complete waste of time. Anything in the ballpark is right as long as the gantry is square.

In fact with the new 6.4.0 manual belt tuner, as long as you are in the mid-90's with the upper and lower belt differing by 3-6hz then it is considered a "success", i.e. you are not instructed to turn the screws.
