After Core One + upgrade to Core one filament will not pass new assembly

after i upgraded the filament adapter to the core one plus, filament will not pass more than 2 inches... seems to be blocked by something.

De-assemble it, loosen the central screw and make sure the lever can still move. Make sure you can pass a small piece of filament through before closing it up again and putting it back.

Mine is tricky too. I May disassemble and try loosening it after reading this. I found if the inserted filament has a good curve to it, that is mostly what causes the difficulty. I either try and straighten it by counterbending it, or it will also work if I rotate the filament in the tube to essentially turn the bend away from what it’s catching on. Hope that makes sense…

The side filament sensor housing seems more sensitive to proper screw tightening than it should. I had a different but related issue when I upgraded my Cores. One would show as always inserted even if there was no filament in there. Turns out I had to loosen the two screws that hold the two main parts of the sensor together. Took me forever to figure out.

Jürgen found out that if the magnet on the lever extends out more than 1mm, it can bind on the cover.

I'm in the middle of a project to completely redesign the side sensor to use an optical wheel. I might abandon it though since it'll become superfluous once I install the INDX.

If you're able to insert the filament past the ball, to the point where the insertion is detected because the sensor triggers, but then can't push it further, take a look at the PTFE tube between the sensor and the extruder.  You may have pinched the tube when trying to remove it during the upgrade.  There's not a lot of extra room.
