Advanced filtration system - keeping it on.

Does anyone know how to set the filter so they by default the filtration fan is on for every print? At the moment I have to manually turn it from auto to a set power % but would prefer to have it always on.

Thanks

RE: Advanced filtration system - keeping it on.

I didn't really find a setting in Prusa Slicer to activate a filtration checkbox for PLA.

A software workaround would be to set the filament type to ASA, in a PLA profile, so filtration is triggered. This will cause an error from the printer, that the filament isn't matching..

I didn't test this yet, but it would probably work somehow.

The other workaround would be to simply swap the connectors on the board. Plug the filtration fan into the chamber fan connector, so it will run at the same percentage, as the other chamber fan.

Problem: you probably want the filtration fan to run at 100%, but definitely not the chamber fan..

I'm yet to finally build my DIY filter box, but I have the original Prusa filtration fan ready. As soon as I manage to connect it, I'll hopefully have a better solution at hand.. Or someone else will have replied with one.

Thanks so much for the reply. Yes it’s a tricky one. What I’ve noticed is that once I turn it on manually it does stay on while the printer is on.  But still have to do it each time.
