I've not had the nozzle fall out and/or scratch the bed so must have just caught it in the nick of time. Checking these thumbscrews has become part of my between-print checklist. </p><p>TBH I'd never thought to ask if this was normal, a potential problem, or just another me-issue before seeing this thread</p></blockquote><p> </p>]]></content:encoded>

I've not had the nozzle fall out and/or scratch the bed so must have just caught it in the nick of time. It happened when I was still very new to the printer, tried to remove the nozzle without loosening the screws, and bent the tip of one of the screws. I had to order replacements.
