RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

Update - I followed up with support, they chased up the dispatch team, the next day it's packed ready to go. I'm happy that it's on its way finally, but who knows whether they've fixed the issues that brought us here.

Order status:Shipped

Order date:2/21/2025

Date of dispatch:7/16/2025

Posted by: @waywardtoaster

This is just pathetic. So much for Prusa's good reputation. At least own it and publicly acknowledge what the issues are and what's being done to resolve them. Silence is not the way to go, and neither is delaying the ETA daily for over a month.

Payment status:Paid

Order status:New

Order date:2/21/2025

Current shipping estimate:Expected to ship between 7/9/2025 and 7/15/2025

Kit + camera + filter + other basics

I don’t even know whether to be upset or relieved. On one hand, I’m still within the promised delivery timeframe, but on the other hand, the date was pushed back by a day just yesterday. It’s good that someone is keeping track of it, but what frustrates me the most is the dishonesty about the delivery time. It still says 3–4 weeks. I haven’t been waiting since February, of course, but it’s already been six weeks — and that’s definitely not three. Just write 8 weeks, and the buyer will wait. But instead, it only creates negativity. Customer support has become completely useless. Their only response is: we never promised or guaranteed anything. Well then, just set the delivery time to “maybe someday.”

I've joined the queue with a kit order placed today. I was surprised to see the suggested lead time is no longer on the website as 3-4 weeks, but reduced to 2-3 weeks. I've ordered all my accessories separately and they've already arrived - just a spool of orange and galaxy black PETG additional to the kit on this order so let's see how that goes.

I'll report back on August 14

Order date: 14/05
Shipping label: 21/07
Delivered: 24/07

Kit + Camera + some filament and things.

Original lead time was 3-4 weeks. I mailed them on monday, and a few hours later the status went from New to In Progress, I got a mail back with a shipping label. Idk if it was a coincidence, but at least it's here.

RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

My kit was delayed another day yesterday as well --  while within the shipping window 7/21-7/27 just became 7/22-7/28.

Since today is 7/25, this is showing a sliding window that has already past.   Once they pass the middle of your window, and they won't be able to ship within, they increment the window at both ends?   I'm pretty sure the new window at this point is 7/25-7/28 when reforcast.  At least that's what I'd be able to intelligently forcast in a customer centric retail environment.

If I went to one of my customers and said that we'd still might be able to to ship to you 3 days ago, they'd think I'm an idiot.   Or that I think they are idiots..     Which is it Prusa?   When UPS or Fedex delays and forecasts a new delivery date, they don't still set my expectations that a package will arrive 3 days ago.

My opinion -- they've marked us as already having a negative experience and are vampiring deliveries from us to service new customers.   If we preordered, we must be Prusa enthusiasts and so we are treated as abused spouses.

The first reply on my mail took a while, but follow up replies were really fast. I mailed them every other week since everything got postponed.

Mine has been in the shipping window for several days and keeps moving to the right.  So far that the current window is past where it started.  Tried doing a chat yesterday and they promised to get an answer from shipping and email me.  Haven't seen that email.  This will be my first Prusa machine.

Waiting times certainly seem to be getting shorter.

Yes, I've been in the middle of a sliding shipping window for 4 days now.  I ordered in April.  There are several in this thread that ordered in May and have already received.  I've also connected with customer support and was promised a followup email after waiting in queue for an hour.  I still haven't received that promised followup for a few days.   Horrible customer service.    If I were to believe Prusa...  My product is now "Expected to ship between 7/24/2025 and 7/30/2025"  which is bizarre since it's 7/27 and why would they include days already past in a sliding window???   This will probably be my last Prusa -- the company cannot service the customers that they've already taken money from.

I used the chat feature and seemed to have a quick response there and did not have to wait for the CS rep to decided who was going to take the email as it was just who was going to take the chat.

RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

I believe this approach currently applies to everyone who falls within the product delivery window. The system simply sets the date to 3 days before and 3 days after on a daily basis. Either way, I’m giving it another 5 days, and if the order hasn’t been shipped by then, I will cancel it. There are more than enough alternatives on the market.

I don't think so - it's an option. I've given a lot of time and effort into helping others - I'm not paid for any of this, it's all off my own back, so I don't feel putting an affiliate link up in return, where people have the choice of whether they use it or not, is a lot to ask. It's not forced, it's an option and I appreciate those who use it, and receive some points for themselves in return. Its not like I plaster it across the forums.

To each their own, if you don't like it, don't use it.

Nevertheless, apologies to everyone else for derailing the thread - back to topic!....

I got mine. I built it in 18hours, and feel so happy that I didn't cancel my order for a P1S. I hope that you'll get your ones soon, and that will have a lot of fun assembling it.

RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

Well, the waiting paid off and I now have my kit.  Heads up if your order contains certain random products- my order got delayed a week in US customs because they wanted to know the "country of smelt" for coffee mug.  After I contacted customer service (who were of no help) I told them it came from Czech Republic and they seemed to be happy with it.  A few days later I was again asked for more information- the name and address of Prusa, which was clearly provided on the manifest.  My advice is to frequently monitor your email/phone once you see that your shipment has hit US shores.  There faster you respond, the faster it gets resolved and moving again.

RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

I just cancelled my kit order. Ordered in June, and after seeing the estimated ship time skip forward a week twice, I'm done with preordering anything.

I love Prusa printers, but in-stock or nothing going forward.
