RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
I’m in batch 5
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
Dates on Core One kit shipping table have changed yesterday.
For instance "Estimated shipping from" on my batch 7 changed from May 26th to May 19th
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
Mine has shipped, email from Prusa to confirm, customs tax paid via DHL, £205 which isn't as bad as I thought.
Scheduled delivery for Monday 12th, just need to make sure someone's going to be home 😅

RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
Slightly off-topic, but I’m finalizing all the equipment I need for my 3D printer setup. I was considering getting the iFixit Mako Driver Kit because I thought it would make the build process easier. However, I found out today that the printer already comes with tools in the kit. Do you think I should still get the iFixit kit anyway?
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
its nice to have some good equipment. the tools from the kit are okay to build it. but i never use them. i have good tools by "Wera" and other brands. I prefer good tools.

I don’t believe I’m familiar with “WERA”?
Do you use a specific set of drivers?
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
i have a lot of tools. but the most things you need is Allen key and Torx.

Wera is a German brand that make nice screwdriver sets amongst others. Try the Kraftform Kompact sets, they come with a lot or not of bits. Torx, PH, PZ, Hex. Their hex/Allen keys are good too, ball ended are my go to as they have decent 'bite' at various angles.
Take a look, but they aren't on the cheap side, but will last for a long time 😉

exactly what this guy said! Wera is expensive but i never had problems. on driver was broken after some years during my live stream on twitch. i contactet Wera and the send me a new one for free. so also a good support!

Oh yeah! When it comes to tools, I’ll gladly break the bank—quality is everything. I’m in mechanical engineering, so I deal with a lot of European cars, and let me tell you, U.S. tools are decent—Milwaukee makes solid power tools—but when it comes to hand tools, America just doesn’t compete. That’s why I use tools like Stahlwille and PB Swiss Tools. Worth every penny!
Although, my wife doesn’t seem to agree 🤣🤣🤣
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
Another great brand I like from America is CTA Manufacturing
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
Actually, I think craftsman tools use to do that.

You will get all the tools required to build the printer in the package (these are shown in my first video in the build guide - link in sig). However, I would HIGHLY recommend just a good set of hex drivers as it will make driving bolts in that much quicker and easier - and makes the build process more fun over using the supplied allen keys!
I just use my iFixit kit.
A ball end hex driver is also very useful for some parts of the build where you are driving bolts in slightly more restricted areas.
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
The larger of the torque keys where slightly undersized in one of the ends, which made it easy to damage the screw heads, so i used something from my toolbox, keep an eye on that 🙂
RE:
Hi everyone, just for information, I just received my tracking number for my kit, batch 7 ( ordered on 13/02/25)!
RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List
I wish they'd ship in order. Just a batch 6 guy waiting here 🥲
RE:
Batch 3 order, placed on 1/31 at 5:40 ish. Hasn't shipped yet, still "New." Includes camera - support said it was delaying the order and should be shipped in 1-2 weeks. A bit jealous of the batch 6+7 orders being dispatched! Oh well, I guess patience is key. 😉
