RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

I've managed to change my order. Added a textured sheet and removed the filtration, support agent this time was spot on. No problem to make ammendments to the order and even suggested that once logistics were aware, removing the filtration 'may' bring my order forward slightly. Either way I'm happy, as I now have a credit note I can use, and maybe my kit will ship closer to the 14th May shipping date 😁

Ordered on 31st 17:43:10 GMT, just changed to in progress. Let's hope that it will not take me 40 hours to build it 😀

I had just the core one kit in cart with additional textured sheet.

Oh wow, I had to double check with the support if any item in my order is holding it up(seems like only they can see that), since it was a 17:16, not sure in what order they actually handle these things. Ordering time doesnt seem to be the only parameter. Anyway he said its up the list and have planned delivery on the 14th, I wish this info was visible so the support wouldnt be so bombarded with questions.

RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

Received my kit today, and lo and behold the exact same part is shattered.

Can you confirm, is this part accessible on the fully built printer?

I assume support were ok to send you out a replacement part ok, free of charge?

Posted by: @markg-2

Luckily, i was able to superglue it together, so it's "alright".
I'll replace it when the part arrives. I am currently continuing the build, so lets hope it's smooth sailing from now on.

The problem is, that this fan grill part is only 1mm thick, which means the slightest side pressure will break it.
It needs to be packaged in a foam or something similar that can stop it from bending.
That nylon bag is simply not enough.

I ordered my Prusa Core One kit the instant it became available for my Prusa MK4S MMU3 and have not heard a word from Prusa really wanting my kit.

Hello,

I ordered a kit at 17:09:05 GMT (batch 2) and received my FedEx tracking number last night (delivery in France).

Looks like they're ahead of schedule.

My kit is on its way 🙂

Ordered at release, kit only, 17:38 GMT to Germany (Batch 1).

My other order with the camera, accelerometer, satin sheet, 0.25 Nozzle, filter package and a few filament rolls will take another few weeks.

Glad I split the orders and paid a few € for the second shipping.

My Kit arrived yesterday and as many before, one part is shattered 🙁 But thankfully, the support is great and a spare part should arrive shortly.

Printing is just fine, no VFA, perfect first layers.
Although not mentioned in the building instructions I lubed the 3 Z-rods.

My kit has just been dispatched........

Guess I better get started prepping for the Core One Video Build Guide!

I'm estimating just the build will take me around 7-10 full days, considering all the filming etc in-between - then another good week or so on editing........

May have to take some time off of work to get this done! lol

Does anyone from batch 2 already have a shipping confirmation?

I am curious whether they are in time before planning or after planning

Sadly, i assembled the printer and it fails on Y Axis.
Just bangs the nextruder endlessly on the front right side, until it crashes and restarts.

I am ok with the procedure suggested by Prusa support to align the X rail in the assembled printer: Loosen the belts, detach X rail from bracket on one side, bend rail and bracket to obtain exact 90° angle. Rpeat on the other side and bracket. The linked thread has more details.

I'm not ok with it. We're not in assembly territory any longer,  we're in "repairing shoddy product" territory.

I'm batch 10, with filters and plates and cam etc. Having had my money for four months by then there had better not be any delays due to other parts in the order.  It's insanity.

I'm just an innocent consumer who wanted a printer. Landing on the product page with big SHIPPING IN MARCH banners, I expected that, you know, shipping would be March.

My order literally had a yellow box saying "shipping; March".

Then I found out that *someone else's printer kit* will ship in March, but mine is three months later IF they stick to schedules.  They're literally being deceptive to their client base.

Holes aren't tapped, parts arriving broken, axis not square, shitty PETG parts...why in the hell does Prusa command a premium and have such a "great" reputation? Their way of doing business comes across as really slapshod, disorganised, and poor QC.

So I spent $200 on a Flashforge Adventurer 5M. Fully assembled, 2kg of free PLA.  From unboxing to complete Benchy was 50 minutes, and it was only that slow because I went out for a ciggie.

OrcaSlicer even has Calibration Tests built in. In 187hrs I've not had a failed print.

The allure of a shiny new Prusa is fast fading, and I'm really not sure why I haven't cancelled my £1500 order already.  I'm amazed that that the fanboyism is so strong that all this BS is somehow excused.

Dude before you get a heart attack , just chill and wait. I got my Kit already , build it and had no bents or broken parts.
And in in the rare case of having something, the support is reeeeaaaally quick in sending new parts.

So relax, my kit came totally perfect

RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

I just ordered my kit. I'm brand new to 3D printing but have been anxiously researching for years. I'm looking forward to many years of creativity with my Core One. I have lots to learn from all the pros out there! 😎

Just got an email for my kit being shipped by DHL today. I am in Batch 2, so they are 3-4 days ahead of schedule.

Guess i'll have to check first if the holes are threaded and if the angled parts are 90 degrees 😆

Oh and which PETG part needs checking if the holes are tight enough for the screw to bite in?

My kit just arrived. was in Batch 1. I also got an info from Comic Con that roughly in 1 month we should have an MMU3 for the Core One, so i'll wait on purchasing the current MMU3 until the new one (adjusted for Core One) drops by. Maybe there will be some improvements, maybe not we will see.

Not sure about that, batch 1 is not all sent out yet, looks like it will be small margins to handle it before the batch 2 date. Really strange that batch 2 is sent out before 1 is completed, i guess they have some kind of idea behind it.

I wonder if it would be good to reprint those PETG parts in PCblend before assembly, if the models come out in time. PETG isnt exactly great for this use.

In my case it were actually a couple of PCCF parts that had holes on the loose side. It seems to vary between the individual kits -- maybe different printers working in parallel in the print farm?

You will notice right away during assembly when a screw feels a bit loose, and can apply lighter torque. In any case I would use only the short handle of the 90° hex key for leverage when screwing into plastic parts; if a thread feels loose, reduce the finger force you apply.
