RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

I still have to put the acrylic (?) panes on mine, then turn it on. But first, it's garden, sunlight and coffee for me. 🙂

Take your time in this beautiful weather.

My buddy cam for the Core one has also been shipped and will also arrive on Monday. The shipment with the printer only has a 0.4mm ( non HF) Obxidian nozzle and a satin sheet. I already have the accelerometer and a textured plate here.

I'm looking forward to your print results and first impressions of the printer.

Oh and yes, the panels are (unfortunately) made of acrylic and not polycarbonate. But I think that should still be ok.

A bit of resonances on Y.

Good on X

Both belts tuned at 85hz, X axis without belt tension "hand aligned to make it square", both sides reach the tensioner at same time.

Nothing that an accelerometer can't fix.

Yes, mostly ringing artefacts at the edges, which better-tuned input shaping should take care of. Do you have an accelerometer to do that? Once those overshoots are gone, I am really curious about the VFA performance. Looking at the 3rd picture, there might be some?

With ASA/ABS you can use the 0.2mm speed profile with non HF nozzle.

I have another core one (factory assembled) with 0.4mm nozzle (phaetus SIC nozzle).

3 hours.

ASA 265ºC / 115ºC Bed.

Which profil did you use? Speed?

hey, does that mean that to get the printer running appropriately we have to buy a separate accelerometer? why isn't it included if it's unfit without it?

After BBQ, and some beers deep.... I were working ultin 4-5 AM. Now are 9:45AM, only 4-5 hours of sleep. I think I finish this morning.

I can predict that my build process will also include beer and staying up late, haha.  I'm batch 5 so I've got a little longer to wait, though.

RE:

Still no batch number. ordered 1st of feb. Contacted customer support a few days ago who said i should expect a batch number shortly, but i dont have a lot of confidence ill end up seeing this printer any time soon. Very much not impressed with prusa.
How are you all finding it? worth waiting a totally unpredictable ammount of time?
Batch 13 ships in june, so whatever batch i do get assigned will probably be after that. I may have moved house by then...

That seems a lot quieter than some of the assembled units where users complained of it being very loud, no?

RE: The Core One Kit Waiting List

Keeping my fingers crossed for a shipping notification tomorrow.

I asked customer support earlier this week about maybe removing/splitting the accelerometer and camera from my batch 1 order in order to allow the prnter kit itself to ship.

To be fair, they looked into it and came back saying it might be better to just sit tight, and that my complete order is currently planned to ship tomorrow/7th April.

Unless it's PCCF.  I was told that the PCCF and the air Filtration were the hold up.  PCCF is always out of stock, even though I ordered it when it was in stock..... Wonder who got my roll.

Got the kit ~2 hours ago, started the build.
First issue. The Fan grid is some sort of acrylic plastic and it is shattered inside the plastic bag. Well, thats a hold up.

That’s not good  😕

I’m sure they’ll send out a replacement for you. Can you keep going in the meantime, or is it a showstopper?
