With 20% tariffs, thanks to our dumbass president, I wish I bought the assembled version. I would've had my printer by now for practically the same price as what I'm going to have to pay for the kit.

Hello all,
I made my order for the kit with every singe accessory option (buddy3d, filter, sheets, 3 nozzles, acc board, hacker board, etc.) on the 7th of MAR (I know a bit late) which is now batch 10 (12 of JUN) and I contacted support to ask if I could remove anything to speed up my order.
The answer was that the printer delays the order for me not the accessories. However, I went online and it now says for new orders 11-12 lead time, so is it normal that a ~4 week earlier order results in ~2 weeks faster shipping?
By the way this is my first Prusa. Thanks

That's strange. Of course, I can't explain why. Is it because of my additional accessories?
I wrote to support the day before yesterday to ask if the delay was because the buddy camera is not available. I wanted to delete it from the order to speed up the delivery of the printer. Now they have sent everything out 🤷♂️

Oh bummer. I'm in Australia. 😆 Hope they still honour the Batch 1 date window for me at least. If it's shipped before Batch 2 starts shipping I'll be happy enough.

Exactly this.
DHL wont deliver until its paid. The delivery driver will usually ask for proof of payment if you have only just paid prior to delivery (ie on the day of delivery for instance). Otherwise he/she will see from teh system if its been paid and its clear for delivery.
Fedex will surprise you with a bill a week or so after delivery, just when you think you got away with it!
Anyone from the UK know if you can pay the import duty online to avoid delays?
Who did you choose for shipping? In my experience DHL and Fedex handle this differently. DHL will send you a message, often while the parcel is inbound to the UK, with the amount you have to pay, and with a link to an online site for making the payment. I believe they will not clear the parcel for delivery until this is paid, but I'm not sure about that because I've always paid as soon as the message arrives. In numerous parcels from China, this has never caused a delay with any of my deliveries.
Fedex will deliver the parcel and then send you the bill. And don't think about 'forgetting' to pay the bill, because they will start to make arrangements for reclaiming what they're owed, and no doubt you'd face trouble if ever you wanted to use them again.

Comes with very good packaging.
I prefer the kit over the assembled version, bought both versions, assembled version it's more prone to get damages during transportation.

I wonder if they make more or less money on the kits, i would guess quite a bit less considering its quite a fiddly work to sort and package everything, write and upkeep of instructions, adapting of the design for easier assembly etc
Still nothing with my 17:16 batch one order, EU order though
