I haven't seen anyone posting here or on reddit that they have received a shipping confirmation. It seems like it was shipped on day 1 to minutes 7 after release and since then nothing has been shipped. I hope it continues tomorrow. I hope so every day 🤣

I'm one of the lucky ones; posted it here yesterday. FedEx has my packages and promises to get them to me tomorrow. I did not receive a shipping confirmation email from Prusa, by the way, but from FedEx directly. And there are links to the FedEx tracking on my Prusa order page.

Would be atypical for logical companies the pay increases with every order and not after time.

Some have an order number that is more than 5000 orders apart from mine.

Therefore in 1-2 hours 5000 orders is blatant for a family business

Prusa order numbers are time stamps. They advance by exactly 3600 every hour.

Prusa is anything but a  typical company 😂

In any case, I wish you lots of fun assembling it!

gB160, in my view, and according to my experience throughout the years, there is nothing what so-ever "fishy" about the Prusa team.

They make a fantastic effort to make Prusa a Worldwide success story. Hat's off !!

I fully agree with you in general, just in this instance something seems a bit off.
Btw I love Prusa printers and the entire company ethos, and I wouldn’t think of buying anything else.

I just spoke with PRUSA support, and .....

THE AIR FILTER is delaying the whole order. It will be available probably in May and until then the whole order is blocked. 😭

If I delete the item, they will ship.

I do hope you’re not planning to push back in at the front of the queue again. Perhaps you could keep the air filter in your order until I let you know that my order has shipped 🤣

And this, as in your situation of not having direct comms from Prusa, is what breeds the ambiguity of the whole thing. Everything is just a best guess about what's going on, then we all "discuss" it.

I keep on seeing the word transparent in relation to Prusa, but f**k me their admin team need to keep on top of this sort of thing. It's shipped? But actually FedEx has confirmed? What? Prusa let it go out of the door without a simple email to let you know the consignment/tracking number? About as transparent as a bloody teaspoon 😅

I stand corrected. I just checked my email provider's spam folder and there were three (!) emails from Prusa, all dating from Monday night: Shipping notice, delivery note, and final invoice.

So they do actively notify customers. It's just that, for whatever reason, my provider considers them a source of spam. Maybe due to the three emails in rapid succession? Or they ended up on some blacklist by mistake, and will hopefully be removed again soon.

Then I offer a full retraction of the above.......😊😬😅

I think that is the key: our exceptions are the problem.  I am not criticizing and do not want a fight.

Well ... when one of the youtuber 3D printing channels asked Prusa if there would be similar situations as with the XL, they told him that they will have ramped up production and enough stock so they will be able to send out printers on time without waiting lists.

If me expecting that Prusa keeps up to its promises is a wrong expectation .... Oh wait ... YES it is 🤣

But I also like to see the positive side: I don't have time this week to build the printer and start printing with it. Being in a later batch that gets little problems with the build fixed is also a nice thing. And who knows we will then also get that big bag of gummy bears because well ... that is the reason we all buy Prusa printers 😋

If you bought a Prusa accelerometer, I recommend this small storage box.

Nice, thank you!

Let's hope that the Prusa technicians (or their supplier for pre-made cables) produce all the cables with exactly the same length. Maybe it would be better to have a less well-defined storage position for the little plug at the far end of the cable, e.g. make a large recess in that area of the box insert, to allow for some wiggle room?

In the last couple of days I removed the camera (thinking I'll build my own from an ESP32)...

As an aside (off topic alert!), for anyone else considering a DIY version of the camera, this turned out to be very easy.  I bought a 'Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32S3 Sense' (£14.50 plus next day postage from Pi Hut), followed Prusa's own instructions ( https://github.com/prusa3d/Prusa-Firmware-ESP32-Cam) to load the pre-compiled firmware, using an online serial flashing tool ( https://espressif.github.io/esptool-js/), and followed the instructions to add it to Prusa Connect so that it behaves as I imagine the Buddy3D camera does - certainly I'm able to get an updated photo in Connect every 10 seconds.

I plan to use this first one for a MK4S that's inside a Prusa enclosure, so I'm still working through the various mounting options - I think I may mount it on the outside of the enclosure.  Amazingly, the lens is small enough to get a good view through one of the screw holes in the enclosure frame, but I think keeping it accurately aligned with that hole would be difficult, so I'll probably mount it on the door frame to peer through the transparent door.  When my Core One is ready I'll probably add another one of these using a housing similar to the Buddy's.

Tsk - I missed the brief window for editing posts.  The links don't work in my post above - you need to remove the closing brackets.

As a side effect, you can use the esp32 cam to play a live stream in a browser.
The only disadvantage is that it has no night vision. But there is an LED flash for pictures.

I made a case for an esp32cam modu in the Core One l and published it on Printables.
Could also work for the Prusa Enclosure.

The Eagle has landed! 😊

It's a sizeable box, about 50*60*40 cm³, and unsurprisingly as heavy as the assembled printer (about 28 kg). Prusa has kindly provided plastic handles on both sides, but one of them was broken off upon receipt -- so the box has probably seen at least one drop onto that edge. No major damage visible from the outside though.

Now how do I talk myself into doing some more working-from-home and not dive into the assembly right away...? I guess I'll have to at least open the box and take a peek!

Ok, the most important accessories are in the box. 😉  Including the thermo-printed test slip which confirms that everything is "ok", including XYZ motion... in a kit? I am beginning to suspect that the test slip means nothing at all.

Otherwise, a great first impression: Tidy boxes nicely fitted into the big box, clearly labelled -- nice!

Now, about that work I should still be getting done...
