STEP 1.8° VS 0.9°

Hello,

I am in the process of converting my MK3.9S printer into CORE ONE.I just noticed that the motors I have have a step of 1.8°.It seems to me that the motors supplied in the MK4S have a step of 0.9°.Do you think I can continue the assembly with my current motors or should I replace them with newer motors?

Thank you for your feedback.

Yes, you will need new motors for the Core One.  Starting with the MK4S (the only supported upgrade basis for the Core One) the steppers were switched to 0.9 degree motors.  The firmware for the Core One and the MK4S both are expecting 0.9 degree motors therefore motion control will be incorrect with the 1.8 degree motors.

Regards,

Steve

P.S. It has been a while since I did the MK4S upgrade to my printer so there may be other important differences that I don't recall.
