I guess I'm blessed that my Core Ones don't do excessive homing (only once in a while for no apparent reason) but yes, I'd be happy to be able to turn it off and sacrifice power loss recovery.

That's what I wrote on April 8th. And many users have repeated the request since then. I'm not sure I trust Prusa to suddenly resume listening to their customers.

I used to think that attention to having the gantry square and the belts precisely tightened (I'm using 85 Hz) was enough to stop this but it's not.
It's fine most of the time, but once in a while it just bangs away until it crashes. This for no reason - as Jürgen pointed out. Frustrating, but once it's printing it's fine.
