RE: Shipping dates

I want to buy my first Prusa printer but I’ wondering why the kit has so much more lead time (currently end of June for the current batch), compared to the assembled version (beginning of May).

RE: Shipping dates

We can only guess - but the kit started shipping later than the assembled version so there is a likely a bigger backlog, the supply lines will be different for the kit (all the nuts etc. that are  bagged in kit will likely bulk boxes) and both maxed and/or they may be running kits at lower rates to avoid overwhelming support for a new release teething issues.

Hi,

My printer will be sent in batch 13. Any estimation of shipping date ? 🙂

Oh, I forgot to specify: with a buddy camera :-))

According to Prusa's shipping information page (which is conveniently linked from your order page), batch 13 should ship the week of April 21st. But the Buddy3D Camera for the Core One has 11 to 12 weeks lead time -- you may want to remove it from your order. It's terrible anyway. 😛

RE: Shipping dates

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion, Jürgen. I modified my order.

Actually, my question was more about an additional delay based on previous experiences 🙂

Last month Prusa were behind their published schedule by two batches or so, and stubbornly refused to update the "ship dates" page to reflect reality. But they did recently update it, and we just read about a printer from batch 11 getting shipped -- so they seem to be tracking to the currently published forecast.

RE: Shipping dates

Wow, I today got an email that my camera has shipped! I originally added it to the order with the printer and then removed it and made a separate order for the camera on March 29th after chatting with their support. I kind of assumed I'd loose my queue position for it and have to wait 11-12 weeks, but apparently not. Based on FedEx I'll be able to try out the camera on Monday next week 🙂

@joke: I assume that you have shipping cost for the separate order ?

RE: Shipping dates

I am a first time 3d printer customer of Prusa and place my order back in 02/04/2025 with the ship ETA 04/01/2025 batch 10. My order is still stuck with an estimated ship time and no sign of shipping date. I'm not into politics but this USA import tariffs is hitting us hard, +25% on top of the order was more than I signed up for. I've been on chat every other day with Prusa since March trying to get them to understand the urgency to ship my order but it landed on deaf ears. I chose Prusa because the reviews stated they were pretty good on delivery dates but in this case it seem like they failed.

Yes, an extra 15,99€, but worth it to get the printer almost two weeks earlier.

It's not just you. There are thousands of customers from USA in exactly the same situation. Should Prusa delay orders for customers from the rest of the world because of unpredictable USA import tariffs? How would you like it if you were not from the USA? Only fair solution is to process orders in the order they have been created.

I am also a first time customer and from the US. There are a ton of us ordering, and there already have been posts on here as well as reddit of many of us cancelling orders and such due to the tariffs. Prusa is woefully aware, and they simply cannot prioritize you above everyone else. I know it’s unfortunate, and while I understand you should have received an update by now, it is what it is. Reality is beyond asking for an update on your order, you have three choices: either wait and hope the tariffs are dropped before your delivery, cancel it and settle for a different printer, or cancel it and order whenever the tariffs are dropped

RE: Shipping dates

Guys I wrote this before the announcement of the pause, so with that it lifts the whole perceived price increase. With that said it’s not putting me in front of the line, it’s I ordered batch 10 and batch 11 is shipping. Please excuse my impatience Amazon has spoiled me rotten, waiting two months is forever. I’ll sit and wait patiently;)

When I spoke with support last week, they said my batch 10 order with camera was expected to ship this week, though we are starting to run out of week.

No additional tariff. The assembled Core One is over the US $800 "de minimis" exception, so there is still a tariff to be paid, it just isn't the increased amount that was expected.

RE: Shipping dates

I have ordered an Assembled CoreOne on 24-Jan (batch 8) with camera and advanced filtration.

It is still not shipped. From this pm discussion with customer support the hold-up is apparently no longer due to the camera but the advanced filtration system. They cannot give a shipping date at all. Looks like i will have to cancel it and reorder it separately. The only possible benefit of that delay is that their quality control at assembly might improve a bit...

RE: Shipping dates

The camera arrived today as expected, and I managed to install it. There was a bit more work to install it than I expected and fortunately I had a collection of different size black zip-ties at home. Now it's beautifully in place. If anyone wants to see all the steps involved in installing it head to https://prusa.io/core-one-camera . The image is as I expected based on what I had read/seen/heard; it's indeed seconds per frame rather than frames per second and for now only black and white (apparently will be fixed in a later update.

I'm a bit old-school and have my WiFi set up with MAC address filtration, so it required a bit of effort to figure out how to get the MAC address of the camera. It would have been pretty nice if it was printed somewhere. I didn't really find out what to do with the sticker with the serial number for the camera, so it ended up in the same box where I have the extra nylon rivets, tools, lubricant etc.

I had the same configuration (Batch 11). After chatting with customer support, I removed the filtration system last week on tuesday and today I received the shipping announcement. So it seems to finally get shipped.

I'm a big Prusa fan, but honestly: The way how Prusa handles their orders and shipping management feels like from the pre digital era... it's just embarrassing...
