RE: Shipping dates

I'm late batch 6 (ordered 1/5), based on other posts and chicken scratch date math I'm not expecting mine to ship until next week. I based that on a couple of posts above from batch 5.

Scarcity and shipping times are what they are, but communication is controllable. A lack of communication is almost inexcusable. I noticed the updated shipping chart was last updated on March 3rd, but the dates in the table were already wildly off based on posts in this thread. What's the harm in just giving us accurate data?

Like others said, batch 6 is ready and being shipped now. From what i've been seeing, it seems like the batches are currently ~10 days delayed but that gap will hopefully shorten. I am batch 7 and am hoping to hear something around Friday. I may be too optimistic, but regardless I will keep you posted when my batch 7 ships out. Try to be patient, I know its very hard

RE: Shipping dates

I’m also in batch 7, still waiting, no info yet. I’ve also got a camera in my order, a bit afraid if it might cause extra delay.

Has anyone any news on cameras for Core One?

RE:

Oh man! Like many others i ordered on Jan. 31st during an F5 refresh orgy (including a brief and stressing downtime of the Prusa website)

Today I finally canceled both of my orders for 1.) 3x C1 kits and 2.) 3x Buddy Cams, nozzles, print sheets, etc.

The accessories for the 5TH XL, which I've now ordered (and which will hopefully arrive within a week and a half) are already being packed, the printer itself should be processed and shipped internally within 1-3 days (if delivery times are to be believed).

As soon as the C1 becomes more readily available in the future, I'll order again. In any case, this didn't turn out satisfactorily, but well... it is what it is.

I wish you all good nerves and that you receive your kits in the foreseeable future. All the best!

@jocke: the cams in my mentioned second order (to exactly avoid any delays because of the cams) had a new shipping date every single day getting +1 up to +2 for delivery. Today beforce i finally cancelled these two orders the delivery was estimated for near end of april (i think 2025, but not pretty sure) 😀

Hmm, what turnout did you expect? We are still well within the March timeframe for shipping of the first kits, which was announced before Prusa started taking orders on January 31st.

Anyway, enjoy your XL! Besides being available off-the-shelf, it will also be more polished than the Core One is at the moment.

RE:

TBH i expected a little bit more professional marketing/communication from a 100mio p.a. company. This is no bashing - no worries. All fine here.

At the end i´m pretty fine with my todays decision/solution because the xl is needed too.

So for me it´s not a big issue. I personally "just" lost ~2 months which is a long time period for a startup.

To be clear - I definetly don´t blame anyone one this but again... tbh this feels/felt a bit like like an so called paperlaunch and is near at some sort of kickstarter campaign. No bashing, no complaints all fine... but a bit... lets say "cheesy" tasting.

RE: Shipping dates

I'm in batch 7. Before batches were created and I ordered the C1 on Jan 14th, on the buying page they showed an "approximate shipping date" (or similar, I don't remember the words exactly) of March 24th. Then batches came along and so I got a "batch starting to ship on March 12th" (I know what "starting to ship" means btw). It looks like their initial guess on when my order is likely to ship wasn't that far off, if everything goes well I expect mine to ship somewhere around next week.

RE: Shipping dates

So it looks like they are two batches behind the published schedule now. Batch #9 supposedly starts shipping today, but we have no reports of any #7 or #8 units being shipped yet?

RE: Shipping dates

It would be great if they updated the published schedule. The table says it was updated on 19 March, but hasn't budged at all to accommodate these shipping delays.

I'm in Batch #8, which should've shipped a few days ago. I'm eagerly awaiting my new printer.

RE: Shipping dates

But why keep a schedule posted that is clearly not correct? The only other explanation is that batches are shipped out of order. If batch 8 truly started shipping on the 18th, then it was before batch 6 had finished. And my batch 6 order didn't include anything that would hold it up like a camera or filtration.

Ordered: January 5 (batch 6)

Ship notice emailed: March 20 (I have Fedex numbers, but they don't show any movement at this time.)

Ordered:  Core One assembled and two nozzles

I think the far more likely explanation is that the Prusa team is overwhelmed and barely keeping their head above water, and that they posted a sloppy "update" of the shipping schedule without actually updating it. Maybe they only touched some detail on availability of another product further down on the page, and the page date changed as a result of that.

RE: Shipping dates

Tell me you already have your Core One with out telling me you already have your Core One (or didn't order one). I think a lot of the folks still waiting for theirs look at the shipping dates page quite often.

The table has been edited twice in my memory on 3/3 and 3/19, and each time it appears that the only changes are removing table rows representing past batches.

The only thing worse than bad communication is no communication. The batch table with dates was a good thing when first released. As time went on and it was clear that dates were slipping but the table wasn't changing, it became a confusing-to-worthless thing. I don't need a table to tell me that batch 6 will follow batch 5. And a table that tells me batch 8 is shipping before batch 6 is finished just doesn't make sense.

If they are overwhelmed, they should hire more help and/or communications or logistics professionals. They are the best 3d printer company on the planet, their comms should reflect that. I remember a huge wait time when I ordered my Mk3 and being pleasantly surprised when it shipped early. I'm not expecting early shipments this time, I bring it up to highlight the fact that they have been through massively successful product launches with loads of pre-orders. Not their first rodeo. They should know how to manage this.

I am a huge Prusa fan and will tell anyone who will listen how great they are. I'm giving my Mk3S to a young engineering student so he can have a printer and experience the joy of upgrading it. And so he'll know how printers are done right. You couldn't give me any other printer brand.

I wish... Waiting for my Core One kit, which means I don't even get a table to stare at. 😉
