Prusa Core One not usable inhouse... Sorry, but the sound was to intensiv
I have now banished my Prusa Core One to the cold garage. Unfortunately, you can't run it in the house.
Despite the marble plate and squash balls, the noise when you print is so intense that you can't use it indoors.
I also have the feeling that too cheap drivers have been installed, it makes music like printers from 5-6 years ago where you thought the printers spoke when printing.
Too bad about the money for the printer.
Really, if someone is thinking about this, they must have a warehouse or garage. You can't use it indoors with firmware 3.30.
Since no new firmware came today, only for the MK series, I assume that this printer is simply to be sold without first support. The firmware is a beta and not a release... Too bad...
My MK4s has printed here day & night without hearing anything. It was simply the best printer ever... It's coming back here now.

Are you sure you have firmware 3.30?
Currently, 6.3.0

Did you ever write to the support chat and give them the video?
And if so, what was their statement?
RE:
I don't want to deal with the support anymore, unfortunately you often only get answers. The belt doesn't fit, etc...
Prusa has received a 1 for the design of the Core One. But the sheet metal and the bearings (why is only one plain bearing installed) were simply cheap. No quality. The plates all creak when you apply a lot of pressure. With small ones it works, but not like the one on the video, your ears fall off. And the fans are switched off because they are even more annoying when they run at 50%. I don't care if it's 52 degrees in there...
I work in the metal industry and can judge that well.
The wrong money was saved here. The printer is more just for looking at or small 5x5cm prints

Wait until someone starts selling MK4 parts from a conversion kit and convert your Core One back to MK4 ;-D
RE: Prusa Core One not usable inhouse... Sorry, but the sound was to intensiv
Yes, you could do that. I'm also thinking about sending the Core One back.
It would be a shame because the design of the case just looks good. I had already considered removing the side panels because they also vibrate a lot and make a sound, but then it's no longer a case, and I don't want to spend money on new side panels.
RE: Prusa Core One not usable inhouse... Sorry, but the sound was to intensiv
I've heard it's not exactly quiet, but how loud are we talking? Like can't have a conversation in the same room? If it's in the basement you can't have a conversation on the main floor? Or is it just noticeable? I don't plan to have mine running 24/7 so if it's only making noise in the basement for a few hours, I can accept that... but I haven't seen anyone so displeased with the noise level that they talked about sending it back.

I'm also curious how much louder we are talking about here. My MK4S also makes some noise and has resonance at certain speeds, so I wouldn't expect any printer to be whisper quiet. If you have both the MK4S and Core One could you measure the sound level using a dB meter with both printing the same object using the same structural default setting?

I removed both side panels and then it got a bit better. But only with certain movements.
I wrote to Prusa's chat and was told that something is wrong with xy movements. I made and uploaded videos. These are now being analysed.
I have now mounted a side panel with cable insulation around the edge and ahh, look, just as quiet/loud as without a side panel. So one vibration less.
There are still 1-2 movements, for example when creating the first edge, then the second edge line is a little quieter and there are no extreme vibrations during filling. So it still needs to be optimised via the software.
ere it is a little longer – printing normally and sometimes you can hear the buzzing/vibrations.
I hope you feel like watching this.

Not sure if you've searched around on this but I suspect the issue is related to motor noise, and I suspect improved phase stepping will improve the issue. The XL was very loud initially as well. Many blamed the metal panels and there were all kinds of mods from people to make it quieter. Prusa finally released the phase stepping and all of the noise complaints went away. It reduced the noise by 90% easy.
On GitHub Prusa developers said they are working on it for the core one.
I also suspect it's not all machines as I've watched many reviews where they do sound tests and measured it at 62 db with the door closed. That's not loud for a 3d printer imo.
I do agree that the MK4 is nearly silent, much quieter than the XL and the MK3.
The motors and drivers are the same on the core one as the MK4 so I believe the possibility of it being quiet are there, hopefully they'll be able to improve the motor tuning.
Good luck.
