Print sheets across different printers
I have a few print sheets for my MK3S. Would I be able to use them with the CoreOne? I assume the fit wouldn't be perfect, but as long as they aren't too big, they should work, no?
RE:
MK3S print sheets can be used without any problems. They fit exactly.

The only minor disadvantage is that the Core One purge area is over the silk screen which will peal off over time. However, this is a very minor issue and won't damage the sheet.

😀 ... unless you implement my modification to the gcode to allow random purge start location (to avoid what I experienced in my mk3 and mk4 where the purge line dug itself into the plate).

...but occasionally the purging fails because the nozzle lands on the smooth silk screen.

interesting, never had that so far!

I carefully scraped off the silkscreen in that area without damaging the surface of the board.
Then it worked again. I didn't dare try removing the lettering with solvent. 🙄

All I want to do with my 2 Prusa Satin sheets is to dunk them in a barrel of solvent and then set them on fire. I'm so glad I got the Cryo sheets instead... But there is a whole thread on that so I won't hijack this one.

But then don't forget to post a picture of the fiery execution of those printing plates here, so we can get something out of it too. 😀 😀

To be fare, I'm still using one of the satin sheets but it's covered with polypropylene packing tape. I paid something around $40 for the Prusa PP powder coated sheet but then I found (to my annoyance) that the PP filament I use doesn't stick to it at all and a $2 roll of packing tape works way better. The other sheet? Will probably sacrifice it to the solvent vat along with my Prusa textured plate which is even more useless.

@hyiger If you're so dissatisfied with Prusa printplates, which ones would you recommend?
CryoGrip Pro Glacier? Others? ...and for PA/Nylon?

The CryoGrip Pro Glacier is what I use for everything except PP. Polypropylene can only stick to itself so the sheet surface has to be PP based.
I print a lot of PA/Nylon as well as ASA and it sticks perfectly to the CryoGrip. For TPU, it sticks too well so I sometimes need a glue layer (which is true of TPU and any sheet). PC filaments also stick really well. I even had a PC print warp and pull the sheet off the bed!
As for PLA (which I rarely print) and PETG I can run the CryoGrip 15-20C cooler than the Satin plate.
I also don't need to clean the CryoGrip between prints (or at all really). I just sometimes give it a wipe-down to remove any debris. The sheet itself is immune to finger prints.
