Nextruder wire cover in the way for quick hotend swaps

So, I recently got my core 1, and I find that the wire cover for the Nextruder does not rotate out of the way the same way it does on the XL. I love that its thumb screws to release the nozzle, but I still have to pull out a tool to remove the wire cover and disconnect the heater and thermistor wires.

Would running without the wire cover be ok. I could design a new cover but didn't want to re-invent the wheel if someone had already come up with a solution and I somehow missed it even after an extensive forum search.

I have an eye on this magnetic nextruder cover on Printables. My additional nozzles should arrive on Monday (FedEx screwed up today…) so I'll probably find out quickly if I want to go that way.

I have used this tool to swap nozzles without disconnecting the hot end.  It works OK.  There are a couple of other tools I may give a try if I find I'm swapping nozzles very often.

That one worked OK for me as well, it didn't keep the block completely aligned, so the new nozzle refused screw in beyond half a thread. Removing the tool, getting it properly started for a single thread and then using the tool again made it work for me.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I was looking to be able to swap the entire hot end. for 1 I already have everything to just swap the hot end, for 2 it will be a shared printer across multiple departments, so I want the swaps to be as easy as possible.

Oh, look another option has just surfaced! 😀
This one simply leaves an opening to have the plugs always exposed.

There must be dozens of us, DOZENS!
