I think they probably will.
That said, product release date is Q2 and I’ll be real shocked if that actually happens. I think it’s a superior technology, but they’re competitors are definitely beating them to market.
Curious to see how the Vortek system will behave in the peasants hands (as opposed to select Youtubers). Anyway, this competition is healthy otherwise we'd be on this forum helping each other (and complaining) about the latest Prusa MK5 bed-slinger. Or hanging out somewhere else...
Honestly, at this point, the only thing that scares me about a BL machine (or anyone else's) is I'd have to keep the shipping box somewhere. Because if something serious happened I won't be able to fix it myself. At least with the C1 I'm 99% positive I can fix whatever breaks. But then it reminds me of my uncle who drove a 1971 VW Kombi until it was on it's 3rd engine. I asked him why he doesn't just get a new car and he replies "Then I won't know how to fix it...".

Yeah, well, Bambu already pulled a Prusa on some of us... They claimed to have the Vortex upgrade for the H2D in stock, only to ship ~30% of the items for the upgrade, and then sent an email saying that you'll get the rest (which is all the important stuff) some time in January. So they took the $800 and then screwed everyone...

I expect them to follow through though. It's not as if you are backing a kickstarter (which is the reason I canceled my U1 pre-order). But then it is kind of shady to announce it's ready, take your money then say "oops, well we lied but we just wanted to claim we got there first"

Yeah, no, they'll certainly ship it. It's more the "look, we have this in stock!" "Okay, did we get his money, yeah?" "Send him one part and get that tracking number out." "Now send him an email a week from now..."

Now, did they give you a status? Yep. That's already way better than typical Prusa customer service / keeping you up to date. I just get a irritated whenever I give someone $850 US and they hose me for delivery and make it a month out / (in prusa's case) months out without forewarning.
