New buildplate for my core one.
fyi
Hi, I received my new buildplate from Tyson Build Plates . ( I saw a clip on YouTube)
it‘s from the USA so shipping and tax almost doubled the cost.(Germany) I ordered the smooth version in 0.7 mm.
Sadly I was send an 1mm version wich is quite stiff. The clear coating is applied on the rusty sheet, wich is unusual bit gives a nice look.
i was disappointed with the surface quality. It looks like they coated during a sandstorm.
I sanded one side for testing with 4000 and 600ö grid (wet). I‘m using that side since.
So, most important. I‘m absolutely convinced. I print from pla to pc/asa. No gluestick etc needed. After cooling down a bit, the parts can be removed very easy. (If it cools down to room temperature, the parts are falling off.)
RE: New buildplate for my core one.
So, what is it? Textured PEI, where the random texture is created by letting the steel sheet rust before coating it? 🙄
