My order doesn't fit either of the mentioned delay criteria, so I have no idea why they bumped mine all the way into Batch 6.

I guess we wait until tomorrow to see what's up.  I was originally surprised to find that my order from within the first two hours put me into Batch 3....  Now that it's being pushed to Batch 6, I can only hope that it's a mistake.

I just converted my order number, and I placed my order only 45 minutes after ordering opened.  Prior to today I was surprised to see that there were 2 full batches in front of me in line.  If this batch adjustment to batch 6 is accurate and not a mistake, that means there were 5 full batches worth of conversion kits ordered in the first 45 minutes.  It seems unlikely to me, but who knows.  🤨

I would not react.  Although they would not confirm, the move for either info us to batch 6 does not make sense.

In my case, I’ve decided to give up, after Prusa bumped me from batch 2 to 4 just because I was “guilty” of buying an MK4S on day one—so now I’m stuck with the old LCD. Order canceled and the MK4S is up for sale. If anyone in Italy is interested in buying my MK4S and the original enclosure, send me a private message.

I'm in the same boat from batch 3 to batch 6 with the new LCD.
I wonder if this date will be met because this wasn't a small slide.
They must have seen this coming.

There were a lot of orders in the first couple of hours. There is a reason the website went down, even though they had already increased capacity in anticipation. From the google sheet it looks like orders after the first 20 minutes were already batch 2.

We only have limited information still, we don't know how many conversion kits they have sold, and we do not know how large a batch is. Could be 100 or 10000.

It's a pity that we are few in number in the google sheet and that our sample size is small. Anyway, I modified the script so that the 'update time' changes not only for status changes, but for batch changes too. I didn't expect that to change.

I am batch 4 becoming batch 6 conversion kit?, and shipping is on 21 JUL.

This is about 7weeks.

The new order is also 5-6 weeks, as shown. Then why did we pay so early for nothing?

As shown in the shipping table, the new conversion kit takes about 5-6 weeks to arrive. Those who placed an early order were pushed to batch 6, which was shipped after 21 July (7 weeks) .  We need a good explanation from Prusa. If we all start to cancel our old orders and start to place new order then Prusa will have a hard time.

my order was batch 1 originally, then they did the old lcd change up but it remained batch 1. it has been shipped and i should have it before the weekend! really excited

What makes this so strange is how abrupt and large the shift in timeline is.  It's a bit more disappointing when you consider that the conversion kits were originally supposed to ship well before the assembly kits....  When they swapped them I was a bit bummed but the distance of the adjustment wasn't huge. If this new batch assignment isn't a glitch, we're talking about a significant lurch of a delay.

To be fair, this is my first time ordering a newly released Prusa product, and I understand that previous releases have had even longer delays, but this is my first time experiencing it.  I knew my Mk4 had a long lead time when I ordered it, and shipping went as expected.

I guess we can only wait until tomorrow to find out if this is the new reality.  At the very least it looks like they've probably missed a chance to sell one to my office.  Having discussed this again with my director today, he's leaning toward the more expensive, higher spec option. On a positive note, I may have a chance to review a printer that so far doesn't seem to have any reviews out there.  😬  It's a bit of an unsettling decision either way.  The core-one may not have a hot enough chamber for what we're hoping to do anyway.  🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately, I don't see the space and reason to be fair here. The CoreOne build has an availability of 1-2 weeks, the kit 2-3 weeks. If they would get on with it like they should they would move those capacities to conversion kits and fix this crap. But why would they do that, there is more margin on the complete ones after all. And they wouldn't attract new customers either, it's clear that the conversion kits were ordered by those who are already our customers and we can anger them, they won't run to the Chinese.
