There is no IR sensor on the MK4s, only in the nextruder, this is the separate one at the other end of the Bowden tube

So as their shipping table says, now should be batch 3 on the way but as I can see here, still only batch 1 is comming. The delay is now - as usual with Prusa - more then 2 weeks and no info about it. And for us who paid our money - only "be patient"?

Have decided to give up on the waiting for upgrade and have decided to build a set of draws for man cave out of an old double slatted bed (free style) no plans.

Batch 2 ordered on Friday, January 31, 2025 6:39:25.
My order still says that shipment will start at 14 of May.
As of today, no news from Prusa, except for the fact that shipments with the old LCD (like mine) will start from May 19.
Of course and once again, this after starting to take order with the promise to ship on april and taking the money in advance 🙂

I can say i will not order in advance again. Having to wait 5 months anyway which was not an issue, but lack of correct communication to get it over the line very sad. Trying to buy UK and European products where possible. PRUSA keep your end up please.

Actually the shipping table was updated yesterday.
*Version for printers with the older xLCD type will begin shipping in the week of May 26th.
And I think they are generally behind on shipping for the conversion kit's. From what I have seen here they are still shipping Batch 1, maybe just started Batch 2. They also need to go back to earlier batches every time other items become available, like filter and camera.
On a positive note, the lead time for the filter has been reduced from 11-12 weeks, to 3-4 weeks. Which seems to indicate they may have solved some issue there.

I have some news:
Today I contacted Prusa Customer Service to check if there was any delay with my order (I’m in batch 4).
And yes, there is a delay.
Apparently, they had an issue with a batch of Buddy cameras for the Core One, so they told me that my order (and others including the Buddy camera)
is now planned to start shipping around the 10th of June.
They offered to remove the camera from my order, but personally, I prefer to wait and avoid paying for shipping twice.
In the meantime, my MK4S is working well! 😀

Well… I’ve just realized that Prusa can’t even be bothered to translate the shipping-information pages into the various languages—or if they do, they do it on different schedules. So, if you want to know when they’ll finally deign to ship the kits, the advice here is to always check the English version of the page.
Yet another good example of Prusa’s poor handling of the matter.

I get the impression that they are telling different things to different people.
I have some news:
Today I contacted Prusa Customer Service to check if there was any delay with my order (I’m in batch 4).And yes, there is a delay.
Apparently, they had an issue with a batch of Buddy cameras for the Core One, so they told me that my order (and others including the Buddy camera)
is now planned to start shipping around the 10th of June.
They offered to remove the camera from my order, but personally, I prefer to wait and avoid paying for shipping twice.
In the meantime, my MK4S is working well! 😀

Also, if true, that is the kind of information they should be sharing on the shipping table page, or a blog post. Instead of leaving people guessing.

That’s something I don’t know.
I choose to trust them, and honestly, I don’t want to get into the whole “They’re not doing it right, etc.” debate.
If I end up disappointed in the future, I simply won’t buy from them again. That’s it. 😀
EDIT:
I want to clarify that they didn’t tell me that all orders with the Buddy3D camera were delayed.
They told me that my order was delayed because the batch of cameras from their provider had problems.
The fact that all orders with a camera might be delayed is just my own inference based on their statement.

ordered conversion kit in February (17th) - batch 9. now shipping "FROM.." 1 July.
Did add some (in stock) filament but that cannot be the reason.I did not have any otehr extras and no buddy camera
conversion kit available to buy today with 7-8 weeks.
Lesson learned: no point ordering so quickly and have someone sit on my cash for half a year. Shame, this really should have been communicated better.

I contacted support because my conversion seems like it should have shipped. I wasted to confirm I did not fat finger the display type.
“I see, a few days delay compared to batch, but it's indeed not for the LCD version or other items, just a little behind compared to estimation - I wouldn't expect more than a few more business days for it to ship out”

My feb 7th order moved from batch 7 (16 jun) to batch 9 (8 jul) in the new 'old display kits' queue. Old style display, filter and camera, never updated or changed. I knew from the past that it would take long but nevertheless I would have appreciated a mail about it...
