Looking for Core one + with MMU3 compact solutions!
I love having multi material printing, and I love the compact nature of the Core one. When it comes to the buffer and spool holder of the MMU3, the compact nature of the printer is pretty much lost. I am hoping some of you out there might have ideas on how to keep the spool holders and the MMU3 all in one neat package.
In my head this looks something like the set up that the INDX upgrade has for spool holders, with the buffer somehow incorporated on the lid. What kinds of mods are you guys aware of that might do something like this? Ideally with minimal loss to print reliability.

Not sure this counts as "compact" but it's space efficient for me, with multiple Core Ones side by side. I got rid of the buffers a long time ago. My current setup is:
MMU 3 mounted via https://www.printables.com/model/1283543-prusa-core-one-mmu3-install-and-mmu3-setup
Filamentalist rewinders. I've tried too many highly praised rewinders, and this is the only one that worked 100% reliably in my hands
Rewinders mounted on the wall via a RepRack shelf

This is the best I could do to keep things somewhat compact. Requires a bit of investment in filamentalist rewinder and the polycarbonate panels for the box but it works good.
RE: Looking for Core one + with MMU3 compact solutions!
Reality check: This is how it looks for me after a four-color print (the material was bagged and PTFE tubes unclipped, no efforts to make it look pretty). The buffers, can barely see them. They just work.
Any more refined concept that doesn't include the drier would fail in our "little ad-hoc factory", for that simple reason - the drier is so important.
Stacking it up in the corner - if I want to - is two minutes of work.
RE: Looking for Core one + with MMU3 compact solutions!
I'm using coreboxx, it sits on the top of the printer, so whole thing is "pretty compact". I put "rewindr" system inside, but i've had to modify coreboxx a bit, since it's not high enough for rewindr. I think coreboxx has it's own "rewinder" system (paid version) though. But, i've already had rewindr printed and assembled when i decided for coreboxx. One of main things is that i ditched that bulky buffer.
RE: Looking for Core one + with MMU3 compact solutions!
There are several on Printables under Community. I made one that sits on top. It has several remixes. The one by Sam is good. There is an additional remix of it that narrows the buffers some for even more room. Review both, and the first one has a OG you need to find and read. The last one has "thinner" parts for more room. They are a lot of work to print, so read about all of them. You'll need to order the longer MMU cable to put it on top. I recommend the "thinner" buffers fromt eh second link. Add as much to the ends of the A & B top rails you can. READ READ READ.

Yeah, well, personally i hate any kind of buffer (now that i'm used to auto-rewind system). I change filaments a lot, so that's a no-no for me. I hate pulling that "wheel thing" out each time, winding filament around it, putting it back... nope.
RE: Looking for Core one + with MMU3 compact solutions!
I just got done completing Noob's "More Compact MMU3 Community Build" as well (Mac-N4MCC posted the links above) and was very happy with it as I had enough space to fit the area of the core one foot print, and plenty of space vertically.
Under the "Do as I say, not as I do".... You need to grab noob's remixed files, and then from the other creator, (Sam3DP). Make sure you eliminate Sam's files that are replaced by Noob's remixes and not print Sams' original files that got remixed.... Someone (certainly not me) might have mixed things up and printed out the wrong parts and was wondering why things were not matching up.

Once I found Filamentalist, no going back to other approaches.

Yeah, it’s also bufferless system. Sadly i discovered it when i’ve already bought rewindr, had all already prined, assembled and in use, so i’ll stick with it until indx comes.
