RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
I can hardly think of how it would even be possible INDX won't work on the original CORE One but would with the L... Since it's shown working on smaller machines. Even if it requires a $99 extra mod you had to do for compatibility (for example, an additional or replacement board), it's going to be possible.
Confirmed that INDX is coming to the CoreOne - I doesn't say whether it is the 250mm CoreOne or the 300mm CoreOneL - but hopefully it is both.

Well to put it bluntly:
If there is no upgrade path for INDX on the current C1 , then the current C1 will be the last Prusa printer I buy. If the upgrade path is prohibitively expensive, then the current C1 will be the last Prusa printer I buy.
I noticed that! Oof, yeah they should've at least mentioned "we looked at some clever mods for the CORE One, and we...."
Since the blog says "More info about INDX for CORE One will be available during FormNext.", I remain very optimistic that the original Core One will benefit from it as well.
In other news, I am flattered that Prusa also likes the idea of automatically operating the chamber vent via a tab on the Nextruder. But am mildly annoyed that they don't acknowledge my Core One implementation and rather claim that this is impossible on the Core One...
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
I still have a core one upgrade in the box. The second of the two I bought. I'm debating on upgrading my second MK4S. Now there's gonna be a core one L. ugh. I wish they would prioritize refining the coreone before releasing another one.
Agree! I would have liked it better if they announced a Core One S (or something) with refinements. Really if I needed another printer, would I by a Core One L or an H2D. I think (as of now) the choice would be obvious.... The H2D.
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
I am happy to see that I am not alone in thinking that
- the automatic vent control was existing for the c1 as user mod
- why on earth release the big baby if the little one is still not completely ripe
- I am slightly miffed by seeing that the C1L has chamber temp control, a new heating plate, an accelerometer, two nozzles...
Now, I am giving Prusa the chance to create the "C1 S with IDX" where all the goodies come together as an upgrade 😀
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
Looking for rational product progression and model launches from Prusa is futile.
I am concerned that the Core300 launch only mentions the MMU3??? After they have rung the INDX bell? WTFudge?
If they are going to only offer it as an assembled printer, are they going to sell it with the MMU3 installed? I’m not a fan of taking apart machines I didn’t build. You build it, you have a pretty good understanding of it- tearing it apart to put back together is different. Just saying, if you are going to offer assembled printers only, you should offer them complete with add ons. Obviously they still need to offer kits for people that want to upgrade.
I wonder how long until Printed Solid offers refurb and upgrade services? If they are selling to institutions/companies that are mainly interested in printing, not the process, that might be a viable service for them.
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
All I’ve taken away from this announcement is that Prusa announced a new printer and are saying it’ll start shipping within a week of the announcement… have they finally gotten the very loud hint! 🤣 I guess we’ll have to watch the launch closely and it’s not a case they’ll have a single printer ready to ship next week 😂
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
it also sort of explains why nothing happened on the FW side since sep 23rd ... all busy making the C1L work...

I would say the lack of info has more to do with Bondtech than Prusa. The INDX is their IP, and they’ve been stating they’ll launch out of formext for a while now, so I’d imagine Prusa weren’t contractually able to announce anything yet.
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
Looking at the original teaser picture again - it's clearly a CoreOne (not CoreOneL) in the picture - so I think that means it will hopefully be the CoreOne that is launched at form next. I would imagine quite a few of the YouTubers who went to Prague last week expected to see INDX and were either dissapointed (or perhaps not allowed to talk about what they saw).
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
I'm really impressed with what I've seen from the U1 so far... especially the pricing.
My mind is made up now, if the price for for the upgrade for C1 to INDX is approaching the U1 price, I'll keep the C1 as is, and get the U1.
I really like the Klipper side of the U1, and the fact you're not tied to their slicer...a hell of a lot of printer for your money.
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
I think it it safe to assume that Prusa and Bondtech have aligned on launch dates and ship dates. Bondtech has been pretty open about their schedule:
Visitors at FormNext 2025 will see the latest version live, applied, and running. Everyone will get the first chance to pre-order from our webshop, with deliveries starting late Q1 2026.
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
Bondtech now has an online survey for the INDX. Go fill it in and tell them you want the INDX on the Core One. And anything else you may want to tell them.

It's been there for a couple of months. I am very certain that a Core One with INDX will be announced (hopefully demonstrated) during FormNext on or after November 18th. As to when it will get into our hands is anyone's guess. I'm going to (guess) maybe June?

Initial Core One L shipments are slated for this Friday. I live in hope that Prusa might be changing approach a little and it will launch sooner. Guessing parallel with bondtechs diy kit launch. Call me an optimist
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
Curious about using INDX to print materials that require an enclosure. I print ASA and PC for my model rockets and they would definitely benefit from dissolvable supports but I would need to have the INDX system fully enclosed to print these. I hope Prusa has a lid option available and that the INDX system can handle 55C+ chamber temps.
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
you could probably use something like Aquasys 120(I've used this before) or Aquasys 180 at those temps. I originally bought a spool of the aquays 120 years ago, before I had the xl and still had an MMU2S lol. it was entirely too stiff to work with the MMU. However I have gotten it to work on the XL and used it along side of PETG and TPU for things. It's super expensive though.
I used it for this print successfully. I've found that in general bvoh is a good all around soluble that's a bit less expensive.

RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
ok Prusa may have QA and delivery times problems and now and then do silly things but I can't imagine them releasing an INDX upgrade to a system with a closed enclosure that leaves it open, thus forfeiting the higher temp materials... the lid is not an option, it must be part of the upgrade!

RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
Yeah , if you look carefully at the teaser pictures we've seen so far, you never see the lid...I would imagine it's not going to look amazing, but all it would need is a simple acrylic 'topper' that clears the INDX PTFE tubes.
How the C1 will perform wrt to reaching chamber temps with a larger volume chamber is another discussion altogether, but this is an obvious hurdle that must've addressed.
I agree, the enclosed chamber was one of the major selling points of the C1.
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
oh yeah, the estethics are a completely different thing! Look at the pages for the U1, you never see the top hat, you can order it but it looks so weird that they apparently decided to not even show it; to remain in the Prusa family, look at the XL with enclosure... not the nicest thing to look at 😀
That said, estethics are sooo a personal thing I am not sure I could have done better in designing a cover...

The XL looks like an accordion 😂
RE: INDX is coming for CoreOne?
I was never crazy about the prusa enclosure for the XL. I opted for the 3dupfitters one. Maybe with the next rev(whenever that may be) of the XL they'll come up with something nicer than the billows.
