Filament loading workflow changed?
I don't use my core one often. I updated to the latest firmware and it seems like there's been a change to the filament loading workflow. Hit filament, load PLA. The machine homes and waits for me to insert filament. I insert the filament all the way through. But the machine times out and goes back to home screen. I have to hit load PLA again before it'll pull the filament through the extruder. Has anyone else experienced this?

Certainly not normal. Two thoughts: is the filament really pushed through all the way or is it stuck at the bend ? Is the hotend filament sensor working?

Here's a video of the full process. I even rebooted the printer. After I hit load PLA, it goes straight back to filament loading screen. I have to do it twice in order to get actual loading function. FW v6.5.6

Did you assemble this as a kit or but it fully assembled? I think maybe the side filament sensor is stuck open. Try running the filament sensor calibration.

I talked to support and it looks like there may be a bug in 6.5.6. I rolled back to 6.5.3 and the filament loading works normally. The website rolled back to 6.5.3. I checked my printer settings and it doesn't have beta FW checked, so at one point, 6.5.6 was official.

That's probably it. They rolled back that version pretty much immediately. Again makes me question how much testing they actually do these days as stuff like this should be caught internally ☹️

I didn't even notice that when I watched the video. As soon as the fixed firmware source code drops I'll do a thorough diff with the previous version to see what has exactly changed. They recalled the firmware initially because the new boot loader was bricking MK4's. Besides filament loading, wondering what else might be broken.
