Do The Kits Come with Full 1Kg Prusament?
I've got a Core One kit ordered, looking forward to it arriving and getting stuck into the build in due course. 😀
I've seen a few people that bought assembled ones saying that it came with a full spool of filamant.
What's peoples previous experience of buying kits, do those tend to ship with a full spool as well?

No. According to https://www.prusa3d.com/product/prusa-core-one-kit/#basic-package it comes with two 25 gram filament samples.

No, the kit only includes 2*25 g of filament for minimal function tests. See the "package includes" section of the product page, https://www.prusa3d.com/product/prusa-core-one-kit/#basic-package
The corresponding description for the fully built printer lists the 1 kg spool in that section.

Ah, never thought that they'd perhaps mention it there, thanks for that. 👍

Printers used to come with a 1KG spool, but that stopped a while ago. It's now something thats generally reserved for the 'Black Friday' sale period, so you receive a small sample piece instead - if you need filament it is a good idea to order some alongside the printer so you don't pay extra shipping!.......

This won’t be my first printer, so have filament sitting ready.
Valid suggestion though, I’m certainly adding some other odds and ends to the order to make the most of the shipping fee!

I am not sure what Mr Trump is up to these days,
If you are in the USA, there used to be an $800 tax threshold... adding extra items may save you shipping costs, but if the additional cost with filament pushes you into the taxable bracket, you may be worse off, in the end...
It may be more cost effective to get filament locally (In the UK, 3DQF sell excellent PLA at £17.99, including delivery for a 1kg spool)(I believe they use the same Base polymer as Prusa use for Prusament.)

"In the UK, 3DQF sell excellent PLA at £17.99, including delivery for a 1kg spool"
7 years 3d printing (only a year with a Prusa machine) and I hadn't heard of them; off to investigate. Thanks

Same here - I've always liked Prusament and have stuck to them, but the shipping costs are almost the same as an extra 1KG spool! lol
I'll be taking a look at 3DQF as well!

I feel your pain on the shipping costs, they are more than the spool here and no one local carries it.

If you happen top be in the Leigh area during working hours you can visit the 3DQF factory, and often get invited to look at the production line, which is quite interesting
If you need large rolls of filament, they can often help there too...

Misc Questions about the Core One and looking for your thoughts
I just ordered my Core one after having purchased my first printer (Mk4s) last December. I bought the core one because I want to print a number of UV stable items: ASA, ABS etc. Also concerned about a breakdown which would cause printing delays. (how long does the extruder and build plate cables last before failure?). I wonder what import duty will be to the US as it is over $800. Also, one concern I have is the particulates and smell; What is best.....running an exhaust fan to the outdoors or buying the filter setup? What might sending the exhaust outside do to the print cabinet temperature? I thought I saw some print files for a fan and hose setup for the core one. Also wondering how the core one gets its temperature - is there a heater in the cabinet or does it come from being enclosed? Unfortunately, Prusa wouldn't extend the Black Friday deal to include the $100 off on an entire new Core one as opposed to just a core one upgrade from my mk4s.
RE: Do The Kits Come with Full 1Kg Prusament?
Looks like they use cardboard spools - which I generally try to stay away from as I prefer plastic spools and the way they sit on the rollers in my dryboxes. But I might still give them a shot at those prices!
Ive also used a fair bit of BambuLab filament, which is also around the same price, with bulk discounts etc too. Also had positive results with their stuff TBH.
Once thing I like about Prusa over Bambu is the filament is wound onto the spool so neat with Prusament! It's a bit more messy with Bambu spools.

3DQF have inside and outside re enforcement ring files, available on their website

Print them with the ends of rolls that are otherwise difficult to use...
