CoreOneMinus+INDX or CoreOne+INDX (+ MK3.5->MK3.9 using spare NexTruder)
Exploring options for MK3s -> CoreINDX upgrade paths - would appreciate any thoughts
Pricing - in GBP
MK3S - £0 MMU2 - £0
MK3S->MK3.5s - £255
Mk3S->MK3.9S - £509
MK3s->MK4s - £589
MK4S->CoreOne - £579
CoreOne+ Kit - £950
CoreOneMinus Kit- (CoreOne without NexTruder) - price guess - £850
Founder edition INDX+CoreOne 8 Nozzles - £658 ($699)
Option 1 - Full upgrade path - Most expensive - rejected.
MK3S->MK4S->CoreOne->INDX = £589+£579+£658 = £1,826
Probably only the bed from the MK3s would be reused.
Option 2 - CoreOneKit + MK3.5->Mk3.85 - Most likely
CoreOne+INDX = £950+£658 = £1,608
Could the spare nextruder out of the CoreOne be added to an Mk3.5s - to make it into a MK3.85s MK3s->MK3.5s+Nextruder - £255 -
effectively an MK4 - without the motor or frame upgrades?
Option 3 - CoreOne-INDX Kit - cheapest option
If Prusa come out with a CoreOne Minus kit in time- say for about £850
CoreOneMinus + INDX = £850 + £658 = £1,508
----
Conclusion - I think I will wait a couple of months to see if Prusa come out with a CoreOneMinus kit.
If not - I think option 2 looks the most practical - and at the end I would have two good printers.
