Core One to MMU3 Nextruder Mod Question

I no longer recall the sequence of what was installed when, but I think that when I upgraded my MK4 to a MK4S, modifications to the Nextruder (mostly new PCCF printed parts) had already been done when I installed the MMU3 -- and those steps were unnecessary. (It was either that, or the other way around.)

So -- when the time comes to set up my MMU3 with my Core One upgrade, have there been additional changes to the Main Plate, Idler, Swivel, et cetera, or are these parts the same as were installed when I originally installed my MMU3 / MK4S? (Apart from obvious stuff like the new PTFE Tube Holder, of course.)

RE: Core One to MMU3 Nextruder Mod Question

Even though the Core One seems a different printer, the Nextruder is the same, which means (from what I can see) its pretty much identical to the MK4s Nextruder MMU3 mods.
So you will need to open the Nextruder and install the MMU3 plate with the rubber ring - the original plate is not designed for so many filament changes and will wear down too quickly. The new is designed and constructed from a different material thats much longer lasting.
The side idler door is the same so you can get away with leaving that if you wish, but the top swivel assembly will be replaced with the MMU3 version as it is longer and incorporates the filament sensor magnet - meaning the default filament sensor ball/spring/magnet along with its holder also need to be removed.

Specific for the Core One is a part that holds the existing PTFE tube out of the way without having to remove it entirely from the swing arm, and a plastic straight cover, that replaces the current 90degree part that covers the PTFE fitting on top of the Nextruder.

So follow the process in this video:

With the exceptions being a new part that holds the exiting PTFE:

And this PTFE fitting cover:

When setting up your MMU3 with the Prusa Core One upgrade, you will almost certainly need new/different Nextruder-related printed parts (Main Plate, Idler, Swivel, etc.) compared to your MK4S/MMU3 setup. The Core One's CoreXY design and enclosed nature necessitate distinct parts for integrating the MMU3 unit and its filament path into the printer's different frame and enclosure, even if the core Nextruder unit is similar. Always follow Prusa's specific instructions for the Core One MMU3 integration.

Now, why am I getting the vibe that you will be adding a spam link to your signature within the next couple of days, and then never be seen again here? 🙄

Yes, so having already completed that process before building the Core One, are there parts that have been changed for this specific model?

If I recall correctly, the updated Main Plate is considered to be a consumable that will wear over time, so that may need to be replaced in due course -- but what I'm wondering if the upgraded parts for the Core One are different from the upgraded parts I've already installed.
