CORE One S wish list

I know Prusa doesn't really hang out here, just doing this for fun.

What I would like to see in a CORE One S (or CORE Two)

  1. Gantry specific fixes
    1. 1.5mm belts
    2. Tension pulley redesign
    3. Sturdier L-bracket design that doesn't bend when breathing on it
    4. Y-axis linear rails
    5. Fix for resonance and VFA issues
  2. Nextruder
    1. Built-in accelerometer
    2. Hotter toolhead (like 350C)
    3. Better nozzle, hot-end change-out system.
    4. Easier insert filament sensors for softer filaments like TPU
    5. Tool changer like BondTech NDX
  3. Enclosure
    1. Better fitting panels and plugs for air gaps
    2. Active chamber heater that can reach 60-70C and a loveboard that can handle it.
    3. A buddy cam that actually works, takes videos over the cloud, uses AI to check for print failures and pauses them
    4. An official Prusa dry box
    5. Replace those #$#%^ rivets with magnets (for example)

How about

3.6 A door made from a material that does not warp when heated. (Especially when heated more at the top than at the bottom, as the heatbed in a warmed-up chamber will do).

I'll add to that, a door handle that doesn't come off due to the door warping. Wondering if replacing it with tempered glass would be a good idea or not.

Also, what would really be cool is a Next Nextruder that has an inductively heated hot end. I guess I'll have to wait instead for the semi-mythical Bontech INDX.

I used screws on my door handle. If you leave the screwheads on the inside, you'll find that they fall into holes on the frame (one of them is for the belt tensioner).

OK. Cool. I was going to do something like print a prism to act as a wedge.

RE: CORE One S wish list

To be fair, going by the list in the first post, with the exception of the tool changer solution for the moment, everything else should have been standard on the Core One prior to release. It's nothing new. All stuff that the competition have already been doing for a while now, so not like the tech isn't there. The Core One, although a great machine and a good step up from the MK4s, still seems a little rushed to market for me. It needs some more time to mature. Whereas I can throw a print across to another one of my printers and completely trust it without having to babysit the first layer, or check in on the print etc, I don't feel I can do that just yet with my Core One......

Yep, I kind of made this list by remembering all of my pain points and also doing a diff against the X1C

For me, a massive improvement would be to actually implement levelling on the 3 Z motors as opposed to them just being synced together.
