CORE One MMU Dimensions
Does anyone know how much height and width the MMU will add to the printer? I understand that the spools can go anywhere, but it looks like the buffer is using part of the recess on the side.
I'm trying to determine placement in my print room.
RE: CORE One MMU Dimensions
The assembly manual "Original Prusa MK4S MMU3 to CORE One MMU3 Conversion (1.00)" in the support section is now online. there are a lot of pictures from all sides. It looks like the buffer is still resting on the tabletop next to the printer and only is fixed to the printer with magnetic printed buffer holders , on the edge of the recess. The buffer itself will be the same width as before.
But nothing is keeping you from placing the buffer on a different location. It seems that you can place the buffer on the other side by assembling the holders mirrored.
And if you remove the magnetic holders (they stick out) an replace them with extra printed plate holders (all print files are in printables), then you can place the buffer and spools on a wall shelf above the printer ( I do that with my mk4s+MMU3, where I have placed the buffer on a shelf and between dry boxes which prevents it from falling over)
