CORE ONE Crashing when opening the door

My CORE ONE Crashes when I open the door to clean the nozzle after a nozzle cleaning failure error.

Once it automatically sent a notification to Prusa after asking my permission to.

Try disabling the door sensor in the firmware. This is a known bug. The new firmware which is still in beta fixes this.

My Core One running 6.4.0-RC also has a software crash when opening the door to clean the nozzle, which BTW gets a lot junkier with the Core One than with my previous Mk.4S. Disabling the door sensor seems to have fixed the crashing.

If they’re doing a bug fix on this it must be on a version newer than 6.4.0-RC.

For one though, I don't see the point of the door sensor unless it was to comply with EU safety regulations. Turning it off seems to solve a lot of issues.

RE:

A door sensor makes sense if it pauses the machine (when printing) to prevent possible injury.

Keep in mind the user population is rather broad in term of technical expertise, I have done some interventions with the printer running, but having that option, especially in settings like schools, is nice.

Of course, as long as it is a crash generator, disabling it makes a lot of sense 😀

I prefer convenience over chance of injury. Until the firmware was updated I had duct tape over the door switch.
