Well, as MMU3 goes after months of use i can say that it's definitely not "fullproof". Jams can occur, although rarely - filament doesn't go into ptfe tube but sideways, especially at the end of the roll when it's more bent. Then if filament runs out a jam is mandatory. Why? All filament are intensively bent (90 degree or more) at the end, in order to be "stuck" to the reel when producer starts to wind it. And that part is always causing a jam: when system backs up filament it doesn't go through pinda back to the buffer but either it gets stuck or it goes sideways.

In any way, making "ultimulti" version of MMU3 is (almost) a must, since there's no need for unscrewing the idler each time, so solving the jam is way faster and easier.

But, at the end, it's quite ok. I'd buy it again immediately. In fact, i can't imagine being without it anymore. Again, lucky part of having a prusa is that pretty much anything can be corrected, changed, improved... since there are tons of modifications out there.

I’m looking forward to the INDX solution, as the MMU3 is super limiting and nowhere near as ready for prime time as the AMS solutions offered by Bambu. Effectively, the Bambu is a well thought out and delivered solution, whereas the core one was not ready for prime time when I got it ~a year ago.

I find the camera incredibly useful, considering my printer is in an outbuilding. I start up (via smart plug) and send the print job remotely, and then use the camera to periodically check to ensure all is well. The stream is smooth and of a high quality. Once done I can use the app to check everything has cooled and then switch the printer off to save power. This way I don't have to keep venturing out through the cold garden to check on the print - call it laziness if you like! lol

On the other hand, my Core One stays inside the house and is used for smaller prints that don't need to carry on overnight. I'm not paying more for a camera (delivery costs are huge) so it has to stay where I can easily see it instead! I do like the Prusa multicolour systems though - MMU always worked perfect for me on the MK4s, albeit a great space taker - and I think the INDX system will be awesome too. Just would be ideal if theye didnt skimp on the cheap parts - or find some cheaper courier services!
