Z-Axis threaded rods not fixed at the top?

I am just assembling my new Core one.

I am wondering that the vertical threaded rod for the z-axis are not fixed at the top. Is this normal, that there is some play?

Will that be in issue when printing? Accuracy?

This is normal. The smooth rods will guide the bed and keep it accurate in the horizontal plane, the threaded rods are only needed for the vertical position of the bed.

It's actually better to not constrain the spindles on the top side. The smooth rods are there to constrain the bed in the X and Y plane.

It might be good to check the alignment of the spindles, though. Loosen the trapezoid nuts slightly, move the bed all the way down, fix the spindles at the top so that they are centered, carefully retighten the nuts.
