XY Belt got loose

Hi,

Few days after conversion Kit assembly and printing 5 models, belt tension always got lost between printing.

Last time I tried to adjust it, belt got loose. 😭😱😭😱

In retrospect I would say this part of assembly was the most tricky one.

Some trick to do it better this time?

Best wishes

Disclaimer: I do not have this experience myself. However, I have read elsewhere that it's best to loosen the tensioners completely and get an overlap of at least five teeth. With all pulleys and idlers attached, it might be difficult to get a large enough overlap to prevent the belt from slipping out during use.

RE: XY Belt got loose

I was a bit nervous about this step when I built my kit, expecting it to take a lot of fumbling -- but was pleasantly surprised how smoothly it went. If your belt slipped out of its clamp, are you sure you had inserted it as described in the instructions? With the two toothed sides of the loop facing each other and interlocking, I can't see how the belt could slip: https://help.prusa3d.com/guide/5-corexy-assembly_835522#864764

Thank you for the answers, this time it went much better.

First print seems ok and I have to recheck belt tension when I come back and print is finished

Best wishes
