RE: Resonance at a certain speed

for me the noise was caused by the belt rubbing against a ziptie head holding the cable and chasis temp sensor cable

RE:

Had resonance problems in the Y direction. Ugly vibrating sound . I disassembled the extruder and checked the belts. Turns out I had managed to misalign the belts in the bracket, with the ends having various lenghts. After reassembly I ran the IS calibration test with accelerometer, and then M1977, reducing vibration from x and Y motors with 64 and 68 pct respectively. This completely eliminated all vibrations.

One odd thing though - when tightening the belts, it is very easy to misalign the gantry, leaving a gap on one side or the other when moving the extruder to the end position. I tightened the belts til there was no gap, and then proceeded with the belt tuning app. I have not been able to get the same frequency on the two belts, and they also differ from side to side. All are between 78 and 94 Hz, but the printer works now.

No resonance noise at 80mm/s (relative to X and Y axis)?

i have exact same problem. Printing straight x or y direction perimeter produces this nasty sound. Outer perimeter printing is ok. Changing print speed reduces resonance on inner perimeter printing but starts to be noticeable on outer.

couldn’t upload the video, so sharing it from YT

Question --- since the Y motor pulley is mounted further down the shaft (due to belt position) cause extra strain on the shaft, therefore causing more vibration?  If so, would it be possible to re-design the Y motor mount to push the motor down a bit further (which would require the top belt wheel to be pushed out a bit to clear the motor)?

I get occasional resonance noise, but it isn't constant enough for me to try any modifications just yet, but I may pull up the motor mount dimensions and see if I can model something in openscad just to see what is possible.

I had the same resonance. I fixed it by tightening the two screws that mount the fan-shroud on the Nextruder, they were each about 1/8 of a turn loose.

Seems that we now have more adapted print profiles for Core One.

checked recently, 0.2mm structural profile now prints on 70m/s. No resonance noises whatsoever. Yes, it became a little slower to print in some cases (some of my prints did not show any change in print time). But booooy it prints a lot quieter.

There is an update available on reddit, https://www.reddit.com/r/prusa3d/comments/1mk0lz6/psa_quieter_core_one_structural_profiles/
