For the folks on this thread having reboot issues separate from the door sensor, have you seen this thread?

TLDR; some printers have a grounding issue on the X and/or Y-axis motors that can create this issue. The thread has many examples and a couple of different solutions to the problem.

Just put my printer together today and ran into this issue. I've disabled the door sensor, but still seems to happen. From the thread, it seems like there is no true fix at this point.

I have also run into this in between good prints. Not touching the printer or interacting with it in any way and it goes black and reboots. Would like to know why it is doing this. First time I thought it was my older power strip but have had the same issue again.

Static discharge also causes this. I first thought, the printer was charging itself and zapping me every time I touched it, but then I realized it was my office chair charging me on the carpet and when I touched the front panel to change setting I accidentally made contact with the Prusa USB stick, which has a metal housing and send the charge directly into the electronics. Since I found that out, I made sure to touch the steel frame first and will probably get a USB stick with plastic housing.

I've been going nuts trying to ESD protect my machine assuming some sort of static charge was causing the reboots

Now I know I can just turn off the stupid door sensor

Disabling the door sensor appears to have stopped the crashes and yes, in hindsight not random.

Mine still reboots occasionally, though for me it is usually during the filament change process.

There seem to be bugs in the UI too; if you navigate away from the defacto display during a print the final resting screen can often be blank, no display of model or print information. Just time remaining and print %. Nothing major and nothing that affects prints.
I really like the inbuilt lighting, very nicely done Prusa 😎

It would be worth opening an issue on github for this (and the other issues you've been having) so they can look into it.

Ok, that's different from the "random reboots" you mentioned in your original post. So the buggy firmware response to the door sensor may well be behind all the crashes you experienced. I assume you have already disabled the door sensor as a workaround while waiting for a fixed firmware?
