Power Supply/Buddy Board main wiring...
Is there a "preferred" way to route the power cables from the Power Supply to the Buddy Board? I got the impression from the assembly instructions that the cables are to be routed behind the metal housing. This is documented on Step 36 of the Back Assembly and it looks like this:
I found a video on youTube that shows the assembly. That looks like this:
How did you all set this up? Is there an advantage of one over the other?
Thanks!
RE:
You are referring to the Mk4s upgrade kit instructions, right? They actually show this step differently than the instructions for the full Core One kit, which do route the cable as you saw in the video. The full kit also comes with a little plastic cover to hide the cables later; not sure whether the upgrade kit includes this as well?
Maybe the wires are longer when you re-use the Mk4s power cable, so they can/should take the detour below the base plate? I would follow the instructions for the upgrade kit. (And I actually wish Prusa had prepared the full kit for routing the cable below-deck as well. In my build, the wires are quite crammed-in where they need to make the sharp turn below the power supply.)
RE: Power Supply/Buddy Board main wiring...
I hadn't thought about it, but yes. I am following the MK4S -> Core One upgrade kit instructions. The wires indeed might be a bit longer and that would account for the routing under the base. Thanks!
