No matter how much I adjusted the belts before, it never worked. But yesterday, after removing the sensor cover on the right side of the print head, the metal base of the print head could finally hit the far-right end. Surprisingly, both the X and Y axis calibrations worked perfectly, and during printing, it only needed to hit a few times to align properly. You might want to give this a try!

RE:

That is an interesting find! In my Core One, the side cover of the Nextruder never touches the right end stop. It's the Nextruder's metal carrier plate which bumps into the angle bracket that holds the X gantry. Hence, a solid metal-to-metal contact which should give a clear current pulse when the motor stalls.

If the side cover is bent away from the print head too much -- maybe due to a distorted plastic part or cables below the cover getting in the way? -- I can imagine that it will result in a smeared-out, less well-defined stop. The cover should sit flush on the print head and should not get in the way of the right-side end stop.

Yes, I share the same thought. Because there was still some gap between the cover and the extruder, the impact sound wasn’t as clear before. Now, it’s direct metal-on-metal contact with no cushioning in between, so the sound is much sharper. So far, I’ve done five prints, and each one has been successful

Can you see why your printer has that gap between the cover and the Nextruder, such that the cover gets in the way? Is the cover warped even when removed from the print head, or does some cable or plug push it away once installed? The cover should sit flush on the print head, and its slanted bottom edge should stay clear of the gantry mounting bracket.
