First tests with the Core One and some printing issues

Hello!

I finished my Core One this afternoon and doing some printing. Can somebody give me a hint on what the reason for this symptoms can be?

Thank you!

PS: This is eSUN PETG + HS printed with the Prusement standard PETG settings.

The first layer level is a little off...

The filament shows enough stringing to suggest it is a little damp.

Damp filament tends to ooze ... if a blob oozed from the nozzle during the bed heating to form a pad at the tip then the bed levelling step could have been thrown off.

Dry the filament and watch the nozzle towards the end of the bed-heating phase, if there is a dribble knock it off with the end of a scrap of filament.

Come back if problems persist.

Cheerio,

Hey! Thanks for the detailed reply. I just unpacked the filement yesterday and didn't expect it to be damp, but if it is the case then I'll dry it. The whole piece after finish looks very good and smooth, though.
