First of all, remove the silicone cap from the heatblock assembly and warm up the nozzle to 170 C. After a couple of minutes that blob will be easier to remove from the assembly with a pair of pliers or something. Then purge some filament a few times, just to make sure that there is no filament stuck.

I’m running into a strange issue where filament builds up around the nozzle and eventually forms a big blob of material. This has now happened twice, even though the print before worked perfectly.

I’m using PLA that was dried and stored properly in my Polymaker container. The printer is set up in my workshop, which has relatively high humidity—around 60%.
