Error# 31612 on first start

Just finished unboxing and downloaded the latest firmware onto the included usb.  Inserted the usb and turned the power on for the first time.  I got a red screen and 'Error 31612'.  It's saying it doesn't have any firmware installed and the only option is to reset.  Seems like it's not reading the firmware file on the usb?  Or maybe it can't read the usb at all?  Anyone seen this before?

Best Answer by Boris:

I think someone had the same issue and the cause was that the ribbon cable for the LCD screen was not pressed all the way in. It was just enough for the screen to work but too loose for the USB stick.

After resetting, I get 'Error 31602', which I can't find on the help site.  The screen says the usb drive is not connected.  Did I get a broken xLCD panel or something?

Ahh, I was wondering if it was worth taking the panel off and reinstalling it.  Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Might be worth trying another USB stick as well, I had some issues finding one that actually worked with the printer, also mine was very tight ti insert and remove, check yours is actually seated in properly should go in approx. 1 cm

Normal people believe that if it is not broke, do not fix it. Engineers believe that if it is not broke, it does not have enough features yet.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I reinstalled the panel and made sure the ribbon was pushed all the way in.  Seems to be working fine now.
