RE: Core One filament feed issue

@blocken82,

I had this very thing happen once in about 600hours of printing.  It turned out that the end of my new filament had just enough of a bend that it would feed past the extruder gear and then "catch" on the nozzle tube.  Try pulling your filament back out and trimming the end to a point with a cutter and see if that helps.  If you only changed filament color and not type (i.e. PLA to PLA) I would suspect that is the issue.

Regards,

Steve

Thanks Steve. I started taking things apart and that's kind of where I got to and noticed that it wasn't aligning. Or there's filament in that section because I can barely get my nozzle cleaner down that section. I've tried cutting it on all sorts of angles to no avail. I can't get the filament to go any further than the tube so that's why I've come to the conclusion that some  filament is stuck.

I am encountering the same issue. I can reproduce it on demand. For me, it comes from ironing. Somehow the extruder is messing up the filament inside. When I pull it out, it's all grindy.
Are there any fixes, it's driving me mad.

Well, I just had that happen switching from a Hatchbox filament to a Prusa filament.

I would suspect the 'slightly muffled knock' is the gear skipping on a stuck filament. In may case, filament had gotten stuck in the nozzle.  Use the 'Online Chat' to talk to Technical support and they can help walk you through fixing the problem.

Do you know how to find the 'Online Chat'?

... my printer was printing fine until I went to change filament color and now it won't feed the nozzle it just makes this slightly muffled knock and still no filament. Any idea what it could be? Before I start tearing down... much appreciated.
